我跟 bb 講廣東話, 始終香港係講廣東話架嘛~

會放英文歌讓他聽, 也會讓他看國際台的baby first.

廣州話，因為廣州話比英文更難學，尤其我知道我bb學發音較慢 (他兩歲半才能通過健康院的測試)，所以只讓他看英文vcd，自己則和他說廣州話。

我bb現在三歲半，是時候開始讓他多接觸英文和普通話。

你印印上份工的case同我一樣.

Since Cantonese is the most common spoken dialects in Hong Kong, I've changed our daily communication into Cantonese since my boy turned 2.

My advise is : talk to the baby in your mother-tongue language first. When they build up stable understanding and expressing language... around 2-4 ...depends on each kid... then start to learn second language. Kids have super learning power before the age of 6.

Another point is : nowadays, there are so many toddlers are with speech delay. We have to think why ?

根據一位兒童心理學醫生的說法:
小孩應在7歲之後才開始外語才好。
由於我們的母語是廣東話,所以小孩在2-6歲時能用母語去思考同時小孩可以擁有多元化的思想路線
例如:
小孩在將來的學習
用母語:文字題,應用題會好..由於他們有6歲都是學習中文,同時亦只用中文去思考
相反:小孩的算式題會好...因算式題是單向的..

我們初時想BB日後英文好d, 買的教材, 圖書全部都係英文, e.g. disney dvd, 書仔, flash card, 英文兒歌...

7-8個月大時, 見佢鍾意拿住本書仔逐頁翻, 又唔撕爛, 開始每晚也會固定時間讀d英文字母俾他聽, 用英文同他講o野, 他15個月時就識講20個英文字母了。now看圖都識講好多, e.g. vegetable, cauliflower, peach....但日常生活通常都講廣東話.

18個月時, 想開始教他普通話拼音, 但發覺他會好有疑問咁望住我時, 就停o左, 費事讓他混淆o左拼音&英文字母, now 每晚睡前都會用普通話諗唐詩給他聽, 他現在識得背兩首.

現在我都會好疑惑, 到底應該同他講英文or廣東話? 因為去幼稚園面試時, 老師都係講廣東話, 我地仲要在旁邊翻譯咁...

my case:
b4 8 month, my boy was taking care by my mom and dad, they use cantonese.
after that, I used a bunbun, she speaks english of coz.  I would use english with my baby and let him get use to the english environment.. as he spent most of the time with my maid anyways.  and also, we played english dvd.
at around 14 month, he can say simple english words.. at 18mth, he can read many words and speak simple sentence.  Then we started to use cantonese in most of the time (except talking to our maid) well.. he can say a bit filipino too!
before he went to N1, he can read both english and chinese song book and sing along.  after these few months, he can speak a little bit of PTH, and very interested on it!

He has no problem in taking both cantonese and english interview, answer both fast and correctly.  and got accepted by some famous KG.

其實無啱定錯, 只有家長想點教.. 同埋你想邊套理論! 我信嘅, 係0-6歲係最重要嘅學習期, 亦係語言敏感期, 比任何時間學更易掌握!
