All P.1 Parents,
I sent an imail to the English teacher and she is very kind to answer all my questions as follows:
1. Students will be provided a booklet and a sentence explaining what they have to do will be printed on each page. However, the Project Guildeline was provided to you for preparation only and it won't be provided for them again on the exam day.
2. In fact, the project is very personal and students can write whatever they learned at school or know. As we stated on the guildeline that the questions are only some guildlines and reference only, students are not required to answer all the questions as it is not a test paper. Students can be creative and write according to their preference or situation.
3. Kids can bring back the guideline for reference as long as they don't write any sentences or keywords on the paper. But it is not necessary or required to bring it back.
4. We recommend students to write the required number of sentences. but they can write more than that. However, we don't recommend students to write too many as they have serveral parts to do and they have to make sure the time is enough. The overall impression mark will be better if students can show their effort and ability in the project.
5.We will only count the mistakes of the sentences we required them to write.
6. For the marking scheme, it differs on the tasks students need to do. On the whole, we will look at the accuracy, effort and overall product etc of the project.
We try to let students to do his/ her own pernalised project using their creativity, imagination and the knowledge their have acquired. The Guideline is an aid for both students and parents to prepare for the project. The project is set based on the topics they have learned. Students are able to do it after revising the worksheets. Don't be too worry about it.
Please help explain to the parents who are concerned about these aspects of the project. Thanks a lot. |
