not all centers are like that, but MANY centers are like that. Most teachers are so young.... my daughter too is at a center where she just sits in the classroom, do her workbooks, when she doesn't know how to do it, raise her hand, then the miss will come and teach her.
I always think, I should just go and get the booklets ,and go home to do it on our own. I have to teach her at home anyways how to do it....
I keep her going because I like my daughter to have the responsibility of doing this everyday as part of her daily routine.
Thinking of quitting soon because she took her assessment test in June, and will be going to international school in Sept. Do I really need it still?
But I know a number of centers who have highly qualified teachers teaching, then the lessons are not like this.
Like my friend at UST, and one in Kowloon Tong, very different.
It's a good system, but implementation in HK have some inconsistencies. |
