HI,

我要兩個問題請幫忙：

1）如果報讀2010 K1 英普班，請問interview使用什麼語言？

2）用英文或普通話Interview，那一種比較有優勢？

現在在家中雙語並用，我們想集中訓練小兒其中一種在Interview用。

Interview 分兩部份. 第一part, 可以選廣東話/英文, 第二part, 一定係用普通話的.
2）用英文或普通話Interview，那一種比較有優勢？
應該冇關係的.

1) Interview language
When you fill up the application form, you have to chose the interview language already, you only can chose English or Cantonese, no matter EC or EP you apply for.

2) My experience
I applied EP class for my daughter, my husband brought her for interview as I was pregnant my 2nd baby and near to give birth.  The interviewer asked my girl some questions in English, not sure my girl answered as papa didn't sit with her, papa was asked to wait aside.  Later, the interviewer waved papa and asked him to sit next to my girl.  The interviewer pointed to a picture and asked "what is that" in PTH, my girl didn't answer, but smiled to the interviewer.  When the interviewer told her the answer, she followed and spoke it out loudly.  Then, the interviewer praised her and said to papa that she is fast learner.  At last, the interviewer asked papa some questions, such as why you chose SC, why you chose EP class, not EC class, etc.  Finally, SC accepted my girl in EC class, not EP class.

Therefore, English is a must.  For PTH, I think if you want to apply EP class, your kid must be able to undertsand and speak a little bit PTH.  In addition, if there is someone in your family speaks PTH, that would be better to let SC know.

Also, from my experience, kids don't know how to answer the question is not a matter, the important is they have to give feedback to the interviewer.

我想問下如果屋企係用母語, 小朋友而家先學緊講野, 到interview 可能仲未識講野, 點in呀? 英文&普通話都未識講, 咁係唔係唔駛諗st cat?

Interview個陣時, 你BB都應該差不多接近2歲, 講得唔叻都應該可以講少少, 或俾少少反應, 好似擰頭呀, 點頭呀, 展露得意可愛嘅笑容, 等等。一個朋友跟我說她有一位朋友的兒子(其實我都認識, 不過不是太熟絡), 他平時唔講野, 淨係識得笑, Interview SC個陣又係咁, 而家個小朋友係SC升K2啦, 就算而家有時見到佢, 佢都唔係咁講野, 不過笑容可掬, 很可愛。亦聽過有一D interview 嘅時候, 回答晒所有問題, 亦很有禮貌, 但係間幼稚園都唔收, 有時真係唔知mud野準則架。

所以, 如個真係想入SC, 俾小朋友一試都無妨嘅, 唔試就一定無機會。
