我都係on waiting list，我見n1好多係waiting list，估唔到K1都係，如果唔收嘅倒不如寄reject letter啦，又要再比少少希望我哋再等呀！！

My daughter is studying K1 in HKPS now. She was also in waiting list last yr....but we finally receive their call in late Aug 2009.

So, waiting list = still have hope....

我都知waiting list 唔= failed，但有時真係好想有個肯定的答案，等待真係好

。請問你知唔知上年收咗幾多位是 on waiting list 的？

我好明白你的feeling呀....因我上年都好痛苦, 因為waiting所以成日心cc.....又要confirm another KG (但我地唔多like)....仲比晒$$...做埋校服,比埋1st的學費, 連student photo都影左2打....最後8月尾先有消息...."side"左好多$....

不過,為左ensure亞女可以入間好kg....冇計....

hm...I dont know how any kids entry K1 by waiting....but I know at least 10-20kids 係k1入 (冇係佢度study PN)....

hi msquare, 請問你有人事關係or識人, 所以才可以由waiting list 補上嗎? 請先不要誤會, 只是知道好多有兄姐就讀但唔收其弟妹, d 家長同校長,老師又熟, 成日去求位, 以我知有位既就會offer 比呢d 有關人事等! 所以想知係咪'街外人'就無咩機會呢?

我囡囡上年都係waiting list, 最後有位, 無人事關係或兄弟姊妹讀過...但囡囡interview表現好好, 不過佢係細女....我唸...都有點"幸運"成份

no wor....I dont know any staff in HKPS. Also, I have only 1 girl so no sister or brother in HKPS.

Same as Miffying, my girl is small girl. Her interview is 80marks only I think. However, I wrote letter to HKPS, also call them few times during June and July.

One more thing, I did visit HKPS during their final registration date (should be in June last year). I, my huddy and my daughter went to HKPS and seek for luck. We went to school and ask if there were any parent quite that day. I am lucky, the principle just came out and asked me why I kick their door.

I have chance to talk with the principle for a mins. But I am not sure if that's the reason they offer me a place finally in Aug.....

Anyway, I believe there must be hope even for waiting list. Since I can see many parent HOLD a lot of place this year. Finally they have to make decision. At that time, waiting list will have chance......

What is "final registration date"? What does it mean? The last registration day for the last round of waiting list students? How did you get that day? Ask the school directly?

Sorry for confusing you.

Generally, there are 2 registration date.
The 1st time is paying the $660 "reservation fee"
The 2nd time will be around June/ July, school call parent to pay for the "book, uniform, school fee, etc.....I dont remember the exact timing but it happen in July I think.

As mentioned, I have a fd whose boy got offer from HKPS during June. She tell me about the final registration date when she went for the registration and paying the fee.

If parent does not show up to pay for uniform or school fee....that mean they quite lor.....

As you know, a lot of parent dont mind to pay for $660 reservation fee but they may not pay for book or school fee if they confirm not take the offer.

you're great mum! I think you're so luck to met the principle and have a chance to talk to her! 校長對你地有深刻印象, 見你地亦好有誠意, 所以有位的話會優先給予! 為自己心儀的學校作最後努力同付出誠意, 係最令學校感動的!
P.S. 我小朋友現正讀HKPS PG, 我只係替朋友WAITING LIST的兒子打探一下WAITING LIST =REJECT?!

I dont think "waiting = reject"....so, have hope!

Also, in the process last year....I found HKPS always response in a very good attitude.

You know, I sent letter and call....and waiting in front of their doorway for request. In fact, I also think myself 好煩...

for some KG....staff show very bad attitude if you call for enquiry on waiting list...(maybe they receive so many call a day for similar enquiry), so they are not patient....

But for HKPS, staff shows good attitude even I know they are providing "standard" answer to "such kind of parent".....

This is one of the reason which providing "good impression" to me....

Yes, I am so happy when they call me for the offer even that's really late (in very late Aug).... Also, I think they really 正視 parent's letter or call....not just ignore....
