my understanding is there will not be any 直屬/聯繫 after 2013. Schools are either "Through Train" or not connected. So in the coming years, for those secondary school who has more than 1 聯繫 Primary schools, they need to select the 一條龍Primary school and "give up" others.
The impact to those primary schools which being dropped may be
-even harder to push the P5 and P6 students in order to get better banding for better placement
- teachers may have preference to Through train primary school because they are subject to lesser pressure
- The fight for the 1st round primary school placement will be even harder because generally parents like through train more (no need to go throught the whole interview-finding-school process at P.6 again)
- When built up with reputation, through train schools may consider switch to direct subsidy program so that they can have control on student intake
- DSS and through train becomes a playground to those can afford to pay school fee. |
