我寧願自己辛苦都要讓孩子上國際學校，讓她發揮個人特質，發掘潛能。

放眼現在和將來，適應能力高，樂觀積極，思想獨立且有某些特長的人，才能在逆境中生存。

亦有中產媽媽「向港媽Say No」，不追逐貴族學校，堅信金錢堆砌不到前途。

I believe that money affect kids' development, especially those kids living under poverty.

This is only the saying from "middle class mum"...

Similarly, International School ≠ Independent thinking.
Though they are obviously true, they are simply ignored by many people.

穷孩子如能自学和奋斗. 现实环境就是最好的学习场. 例如学得极有'城府'又深谋远虑或深藏不露, 发展前景是更广远的, 可以'大善', 也可'大恶', 皆一念之差吧.

太平盛世下金钱能做的事和买到的虚荣佷多. 是浮夸的实力. 遇上认真的比拼, 就露底了. 富不过三代是历史循环吧.

讲着写着竟然描述似我们的特首候选人............ 可叹是两位也非领袖之才.

Probably it's no good to wish. That’s like trying to change the order of the seasons.

Today having lunch with a girlfriend who passed me below wisdom. I would love to share it with my girl and all of you.

汝之蜂蜜，彼之砒霜! 非常理解你的心情.

看着家长们的取舍和关注点, 真的感到很无奈! 朋友是位退休的attorney, 对教Phonics 很有心得, 人长了很想做些小贡献数年前回港,表示欲每星期花数小时义务教导香港孩子的phonics, 但不认识local school 的孩子.  我听吧觉得很有义意和正面, 即到小女的课外中文学习班查询local school 的家长们有否兴趣. 回复令人费解.

A 孩子就读名校, 成绩马虎, 妈妈表示无兴趣, 因为英语说得好跟成积表上分数是无关的, 不能提升英文作文能力,即对考试无帮助.  倒不如多上写作班云.....

B 孩子的妈妈说念高小的女儿已尽全力的上中英数的补习班, 每个学科上两个补习社, 加上音乐, 体艺等, 已无空间学phonics 了

C孩子妈妈表示呈分试在即, 知道phonics 的好处, 但绝不敢让孩子分心.

今天朋友的母亲抱恙, 已滕不出时间和精力做义务教育, 而几个香港孩子继续拼命的学英语.

今日香港是'考试猛于虎'吧?  究竟父母有否指条黑路让孩子走? 值得我们深思.
