My son is in P.1 and he really likes ESLite. The topics chosen are very interesting and he can understand most of the contents. There are also some games inside, such as short reading comprehension, gramma check, etc. It is issued twice a week, just right for him to finish reading it every week. Not sure whether it would be too easy for P.3 though. You can go to its website for the trial version, see whether your child likes it or not.
We also ordered Ming Pao daily at school. However, I do regret this very much. On one hand, there are so many free newspapers nowadays, that we really do not need another one that costs us money. The newspaper also add extra weight on his schoolbag. My child also has a very busy schedule. Ever since he got Ming Pao daily from school in mid-Sept, he has not yet had the chance to even open the newspaper once. So far, I find that watching TV news is sufficient for a P.1 student.
