Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks are now called Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.

"As a result of Government legislation all Higher Education Institutions who offer courses where students come into contact with children or vulnerable adults are required to ensure that these students obtain an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service, formerly the Criminal Records Bureau."
