ICS

I am going to apply ICS for my son for 2006 P1 Is there any one can help to tell me about the admission test, such as, will it be very difficult for a 4 years old kid ? Thanks.

My son took their interview Jan this year. It's hard to say whether it's difficult for your 4-years-old. It depends on your son's English standard. I know that the interview is pretty long (1 hour), and it's 1:1. And, my son was interviewed by a guy and than a lady, one by one. He was asked to answer some colors and numbers questions and also, to tell a story from a picture book.

My son said he could answer the questions but he feels very tired. haha.

This is not easy for a small kid and your son did alone without you, he did very good indeed, at least he finished all the tests with no problem but only a little bit tired after all. By the way, do you get the result? You make the choice or not ? Thanks so much for your information. You are great !

Vrindavan,
I was allowed to go in with my two kids at the interview.  Basically they tested my two kids at the same time, taking turns.  The accessment test was quite tiring, I have to admit.  It lasted for an hour.  It was a bit hard I think for kids who don't speak fluent English.  My kids got accepted and they started school already.

Sorry for replying so late.

No, I meant my son has to go in alone and talked to the teachers one by one, so each time it's 1:1.

But I guess they don't really need the kid to answer all the questions correctly. Just that the kid needs to be able to comprehend and communicate in English. My son has been studying in English playgroup and kindy since he was 1.5 years old, so he was fine. He even asked the teacher "Why you ask so many questions ? I am tired." !!!
The teacher told me about that and seemed she was satisfied with him being able to express his feelings.

My son got admitted finally but we picked Phoenix instead of ICS.
