德寶幼稚園- Interview?

I've received a letter from Deborah Kindergarten  regards to Interview day that will be held on 16th Oct. Does anyone know if there is anything I need to prepare for my child? She is only 1 yr and 10 months? Can anyone share your experience?

好簡單,會問小朋友個名(唔識唔緊要,我個女都唔識)
又會"羅"玩具俾小朋友玩,考佢知否名稱,例如:蘋果,香蕉,面包等等.又會問小朋友最鍾意"物野",我個女唯一願意答就係..........媽咪.就掂左. 下個月返學拉  
聽主任講呢個月有一個迎新會,可以去聽聽.

Don't worry.  They will accept your girl even she doesn't say a word in the interview in view the keen competition in receiving students in the kindergartens.

My elder daughter was very happy there in her nursery time.  The teachers and the supervisors are nice to the childrens. I can remember the supervisor had helped to lift my daugher in the first week just because she was not comfortable with the stange environment.  However, I'd say the school fee of this kindergarten is quite expensive!!

BTW, I still have the winter & summer uniform (my daughter used them when she was 2.5 year old), school and party bags (both angelo and int'l).  If you are interested, I can sell them to you all in HK$100.  Just not to waste it and ensure you really use them.

請問你女讀那一間德寶，讀那一級，十一月份先返學，是插班嗎？

因我小朋友都面試咗將軍澳德寶，己收了信未去註冊，本來十月插班，但現在決定下學期先插班，中途插班會唔會比較麻煩，始終同現在間幼稚園進度不同．

你說十月有迎新會，何時呢？

Is that a good school then? Is your daughter still studying there? Sound like not, right? Did you study International class or Mainstream class? Which site did she study? Do you know if the English teachers are Naitve speakers?

It's seem like quite easy to get in. How is the educational quality?

My son studies in Site 7 since April 04.  He's K1 now.  I find him learns a lot of things.  He can sing many songs in English and Chinese.  Recently, he uses Mandarin to recite the Chinese chapters.  He's having a happy school life there.

我女兒到十一月先兩歲,將會讀黃埔七期的德寶.我想在nursery插班不是問題,都係玩,同時,我希望個時個個小朋友都已經喊完.我個女可以喊少的(我想都好難,因為佢好依賴).

我未都註冊,文件都未交(因為寄失左),個主任同我講有個迎新會,可以到時先交,我呢排好忙,等我過一兩日打電話問下先.

My elder daughter is now in P1.  She transfered to Heep Yunn in K2.  She was in angelo-chinese in N1 and then international class in K1.  There was 1 native speaking teachers in the internation class plus 1 Chinese speaking teacher.  Whilst for angelo-chinese, I guess the native speaking teachers are shared by 2-3 classes by the time.  I don't know now.

She was at Site 7 by the time as we just lived upstair of it - she won't have to go to far away by walk.  This is the reason I chose this kindergarten for her early education.  She is really happy there.

Personally, I feel Deborah is quite good in Hunghom.  My small girl is now studying in POH Yam Wing Yin Nursery (I now live in Laguna Verde).  Although it's much cheaper on the tuition fee, I can see the differece between the 2 schools.  You really pay money for a happy school life.  On the other hand, the teachers and the superviors are responsible and they love the kids very much in Deborah.  It was even after my girl left, they still hold her a hug on the street whenever they saw her.

In fact, I'm still struggle whether to let my small girl study there when she is K1 if Heep Yunn does not accept her in the coming year.  It seems if she goes there then we need to walk a bit far (there is no cover on the way to walk to Deborah and quite windy most of the time.)

One of my criteria on the target kindergarten is to be close to my home or my girl just need to get on the school bus for a less than 30 mins ride to school.
