My girl is now studying k2, she gets 20mark.  I also have another younger daughter.  The above 4 are my preference.  If you were me, which one will u choose in the first phase?

如果只講分數, 20分, 除左marymount, 應該其他3間都直入(當然凡事唔可以100%肯定, 點知今年有咩人揀)
而且每間學校都有唔同理念同教學方法, 呢樣就好個人喇

I'll pick St. Francis'.  More safe than picking Marymount.  Both St. Paul Catholic and Sacred Heart are still having half day school.

In fact, my first choice is also marymount.  But i worry 20 marks not enough. I also agree st. Francis (in fact it is my 4th choice) is less competitive.  And sacred heart and st paul catholics just half day.... And i have a younger daughter(she will have 10 marks only), i also want to benefits her if her sister can enter one of them....so i hope i wont waste that 20 marks..... really headache!

yes, i will apply other private schools as back up, but wont know whether the private schools will accept my daughter! and i think i wont know before the deadline of first round allocation.

每年都有人15分入st paul catholic同埋聖心架(當然唔多), 如果15分都入, 即係20分入晒啦

如果要十拿九穩就唔好選Marymount, 因為好多20分都抽唔中! 其餘三間都好好, 又有中學!

St. Paul catholics: 半日(一,三,五年級下午班, 二,四,六年級上午班)

聖心: 半日(下午班) + 星期六長短週

St. Francis: 全日

我自己就鍾意全日多d, 所以prefer St. Francis!

I guess you live in Wan Chai and your daughter should have better chance to get into Marymount, St. Francis' as well as St Paul's Primary.  But Sacred Heart belongs to POA Net 11, I was wondering if you still have the same chance as the above?  

Anyway if I make a decision here for my girl, I would not regret to let Marymount remain my first choice.  Indeed, your daughter would still have an opportunity for transferring to an adequate school from P2 to P5.  Why headache? Your gal could experience even more and maybe develop her own adaptive expertise for her future?  Who knows.

據我所知瑪利曼雖然是一間好好好好的學校,但除了聖心外,比其餘兩間返回自己直屬中學入讀的機會較低,點解呢,是因為瑪利曼和聖心(上午+下午),每級的學生都很多,中學學額有限根本收不到每級人數的85%,如瑪利曼為例,每級起碼150人以上,學校扣除留班及自行位後,只剩80多個位,競爭相對較大。如果你選日後插班的話,又唔知心水學校有沒有位,如果無位,又要年年煩轉校了,以上都是小人的意見,只可作參考。

學額就是定了,除非學校加開班,人多D,實係多D人要out.
但如果有信心,保證坐硬band 1,入蹯中學,就十拿九穩。

becoz there are many sibling students in Marymount, so the chance to get into marymount which is you need at least 25 pts
they just pick few 20pts a yr

if you've got 20 pt, you've not choose the marymount, many of my daughter's friends have 20 pts and finally they didn't get in.  Don't waste your 20 pts, you can get into other 2 schools as well.  Finally I chose St Paul Cath.  It is higher rate to get into the Secondary school which is band one school as well (which is better secondary school than marymount some ppl said)


now my daughter is happily study in st. paul P1, and the work load is heavier too...... but the teachers are very kind and nice.

我個女讀緊 St. Francis, 今年小一,真係一間好好好好學校,係我自己考入去的,因為抽唔中,佢地出年都會有好大好靚新校舍,6年後中學新校舍又會起好,老師同校長好nice,學校好注重品德教育,閱讀風氣好好,我去過幾次接放學,見到中學個D都好正經好有禮貌,感覺好好.

Frankly, from my personal point of view, all of the captioned are my dream schools for gals (even DGS, MCS, SPCS are only my 2nd favourite).  

What I previously meant was, I would not regret to pursuit what I think the best, despite I would eventually fail to do so.   I know the dilemma and wish your angels enjoy a very happy school.
