Does anybody have any experience with Best Concept Montessori classroom in TST? I am comparing this with the IMS in Morrison Hill for my toddler cause I live on Kowloon side.

best concpet: 2hours each sessions.(AM 9:00/PM 3:15)

IMS: 1.5 hours (around 10:30 -12:00 or
2:45-4:15)

How old is your BB?
There is a 2 hours programme for 2 years old in IMS (it is very full, have to wait) .

environment:
IMS : 有天台 can do outdoor activities, 間中上天台做活動, 例如看下植物等.
有一張枱給小朋友吃東西, 自行決定幾時食, 當有小朋友想食時, 老師會教擺碟, 洗手, 剝蕉皮等.

best concept, 有小朋友厠所 (感覺上好似較注重practical life) (不覺始終我bb未上過best concept, 只是參觀過, 直覺覺得)

Sara09, sounds like you are a bit familiar with the IMS school. Is your child going there? Any thoughts about this school? I'm thinking of putting my kids there but have some reservations about it.

My friends' kids attend BC, they strongly recommend it. BC also got long waiting list, I applied once and waitlisted for 4 months before a vacancy but due to the time constraint, I rejected the offer.

My baby is 18 months old.  Already applied to Best Concept and IMS.  I have toured around IMS Morrison Hill.

My baby will definitely go to a Montessori school but our concern is to choose one that is closer to our home in Kowloon.  Morrison Hill is not that accessible but they offer kindergarten all the way to primary.

Best Concept only offers preschool to kindergarten but it is closer to our home.

4-month wait is okay for us cause we want our baby to start at 24 months.  (I have a Montessori diploma and is about to begin hometeaching my baby this summer).  The problem is Best Concept only invites parents to visit one month before they offer the kid a seat.

I am sure Best Concept's setup is good but can anybody offer more info regarding Best Concept's teachers for both English and Putonghua?

my child is now in casa class(Best concept). he was in infant class for one month, then promoted to casa class. I can't tell you much about infant class, except the teacher in charge, Ms Ellen is nice & caring. You feel safe putting your child under her care.

As to casa class,i think the best part is my son learns to concentrate in work. I am a working mom, so whenever i am home, my son will be eager to talk to me, play with me, jumping from one thing to another. however, in best concept, the teacher said my son always choose the same work when he enters the class & he can spend half hr to one hr playing just that.

請問Best Concept有無assessment report　或者係以乜野形式與家長聯繫？
你小朋友係返三天　還是五天呢？
三天跟五天有沒有教學上的分別呢？
還有，請問你小朋友上學後國語有否進步

my son went there for almost 1 year. we got the report and it is quite detail. I have a more clear picture of what kids been doing in school. Besides, they will burn a cd for you. snapshot of what they did in school. but i can't remember how long do they give out the cd and report.

my son loves the school so much. he always asks me how about ms ellen and the classmates. :)

Hi JojoB,

不用客氣, 大家交換意見jei!
My son is in 3 days program. I am not sure what's the diff from a 5 days program. I want my son to hv 2 afternoons off so he can play in the park.
According to the memo given by BC, there should hv accessment report after joining the class for 3 months, and a burned CD after 6 months. However, i haven't received any of them yet despite joining for more than a yr. (i always change my son's schedule so they are not consecutive months, maybe that's the reason).
you can communicate with the teacher by either calling the school or stay behind after class.
Frankly speaking, i don't know how much PTH my son has picked up. he can draw a picture in school & told me it is a "船" in PTH. Since the teacher speaks only PTH, and my son doesn't seem to hv problem following her instructions, i think he can understand some if not all.

My 2 kids both go to BC. Daughter has been going there since Aug/Sept 2008. Son is now almost 21 months and has been going there since 18 months.

I took my daughter to interview at IMS casa class. In terms of campus, IMS is better. But I feel that BC is better overall.

I just got my first report for my son today (3 months since he started).
