My son is studing in SMC but do not accept his sister this year ah (reject letter).....what can i do???

Have you applied other schools for her as well?

Thanks for yr reply. I applied HKUGA - on waiting list la and Ramondi - waiting for the result on 16Nov, but I know she has try her best la.

I sympathize with your case.

Would you consider trying to talk to your son't class teacher and seek advice?  Talking directly to the Vice Principal may be a bit odd.

Are you son and daughter very different in style?  You may need to identify the gap and see whether you can make a change in a few months time.  Then try again later.

If SMC is your top priority, you may consider actively participate in school activities that you can have chance to chat with the management team, try convincing them you can in the gap in a few months.  Perhaps, you may get a chance for 2nd interview later to show your efforts.

Never give up.  Be proactive.

Agreed.  I beleived you should talk to Ms. Lee directly.  At least show her that you really want both of your kids can study in the same school.  

Never try never know.  Don't give up!  You still have a lot of time.

Thanks spiderlily, I will try my best also.
My son and my daughter almost the same style children. But my daughter is dec girl (small small),
maybe the performance is different to the mature one.....

You better send a letter to Ms. Lee and then follow up by phone.  It is really really difficult this year.

Yes, letter plus telephone follow up (Ms. Lee) is better.  But I think letter should attention to Ms. Tam.

Sounds like Ms Lee is fully in charge of P1 admission.  Anyway, can address to both.  You may highlight why you like the school, the case of your son thereafter reinforce your thoughts, ask about your girl's areas for improvement; undertake to take turn around in a few months...  - only my suggestion.  There may be the chance if you can prove your girl is teachable and has the potential.

Perhaps, I speak too much.

Sorry to hear that your daughter's application has been unsuccessful. Seems that applicants' interview performance play the most important part.

Don't give up as there is still about a year from Sept 2010. I believe some will give up their P1 places before Sept 2010. You can continue to "knock door" and show Ms. Lee that your daughter is the right student that the school is looking for.
