我其實之前無留意蘇浙,只係有日老公放工番黎話d同事話呢間係"好野",於是臨時先報N1,結果收左,而家吾知留吾留位!

我本身係報左/會報Think,HKPS, KM, Victoria etc,但一直見呢度報呢幾間既媽媽好似都無提蘇浙,係咪呢間無咁好?

除左蘇浙,暫時Think都收左讀N1! 想請教呢版咁多有經驗既媽媽意見!many tks!

hi....my baby studies in KCS now....my boy was successful in the interviews of Victoria (HK side) and Kentville (Kowloon Tong) and was offered a place in a.m. class last academic year...but finally we chose KCS...because I agree that KCS is "好野"

你仔仔係讀緊K1?考到根德園都吾讀呀?KCS真係咁好呀?@.@ 請問可以講多些蘇浙點好嗎?佢既小學又如何?是否中文(普通話)為主?

另外,請問你打算將來俾仔仔讀邊類小學呢?知吾知蘇浙畢業生考其他所謂名校小學又有無優勢呢?

我老公話好多外國人都去考就知係好,但我反而諗,咁呢間即係for諗住第時讀int'l school會好d?但我諗住第時係讀傳統本地小學,咁會吾會無咁適合?

hi,
我仔仔今年已經係kcs 讀k3 喇, 囡囡今年都讀n1,
我自己本人就覺得kcs真係好好
用全普通話 + 英語
老師們都很好
kcs 都係傳統既學校
所以讀本地小學亦無問題
我仔仔都係報官立小學
希望小小意見幫到你

tks a lot! 係咪K1-k3都係無廣東話? 另外,N1可直上K1嗎?你知吾知蘇浙畢業生考所謂名校小學成績如何?係咪好多都入到好學校?

N1 & K1-K3:  All English and Mandarine, no Cantonese at all.

N1:  30 minutes of English out of 3 hours class.
K1: 45 minutes of English out of 3 hours class.

KCS PN is a 小型聯合國, in my kid's last year PN class, almost one third of the students are non-chinese (i.e. westerners/mixed/Japanese/Korean).

All the schools on your list are good (including KCS), it all depends on what you kind of school you want for your child.

N1 needs to sit for an interview in order to go to KCS K1, but I will say KCS PN students have a very high chance of going to KCS K1.  This should not be a concern at all.

請問KCS的小學好唔好? 係咪大部分KCS的K3學生都係升上"蘇浙小學"? 考其他名牌小學有無優勢呢?

May I know your kid's are studying in AM or PM class? They said more special activites for PM class on their leaflet. Shall I stick to PM class rather than request for waitlist for AM class?

Do you know that KCS's Int'l Section is good or not? Is it worth to spend $5,100 a month?

My girl is in AM class. I will not consider if it is a PM class (and did not tick PM class in the form tim ah) as I want my kid to have proper afternoon sleep after school. Besides, time management is better for AM class. Thus, I do not bother to consult other mums what extra stuff being talked in the afternoon class, I only know one additonal activity so far, that is Chinese poem appreciaton. I will suggest you to accept PM class and put your child's name on the wailist for AM class as I know a number of students in KCS PN afternoon class have changed to KCS KG am class. I think this is a good indicator for you to consider.

KCS Int'l is OK ga. I know a few mums sending their kids to KCS int'l, so far, I have not heard about any negative comments about KCS international KG. If you want to train the Eng. of your kid and you can afford, I think it is worth.

KCS的小學

is a good primary school also. No official statistic relesed on how many KCS K3 students going to KCS primary. I learnt from a mum 1/3 to 1/2 of the students in her kid's K3 class go to KCS primary last year.

Sorb - thanks for the sharing. I've already accepted the PM class offer. Guess should send a follow up letter for request to change to AM class.

BTW, where are you living? I'm living in 小西灣. Would it be too early for my son to get on the school bus for AM Class at 8.45am?

Submit the letter asap as the waiting list is served on a first come frist served basis. No need to worry about getting up eary, children can get use to it easily.

Not too many parents with KCS PN AM class will give up offers, so, don't have too much hope in it even you submit the letter. However, if you can stand up with one year PM class, your child will be highly likely have an AM offer in KCS KG next year. If you don't like PM offer, you can try next year again as KCS KG has more AM places.

By the way, I saw your post in another thread, so, I know you have Lingnam AM offer. If you live in Siu Sai Wan, it is pretty far for your son woh.......I have a friend whose son is currently studying PN in Lingnam. She told me she did not want her son to study KG there as she did not think this school is that good woh (I don't know the details as I did not dig into it).
