For St. Louis, only one out of five classes from S1 to S3 will use Chinese for some non-core subjects (Geography, History, etc.), all other classes are still taught in English.

It's actually very unfortunate for St. Louis since they just missed the requirement by a very very thin margin.

If the case is really like that, the kids allocated to that one "Chinese" classes might be biased by the others in the English classes.

What a pity for such change..
The bias is now shifted from amongst schools but to amongst classes....

只是高主教小學轉為灣仔區，中學部仍是中西區。

That's why there were controversies as the "fine-tuning" approach was initiated. Those eleven EMI are not really being changed to CMI, but now having combination of EMI and CMI in one school. I believe majority of the cases should be similar, just having 1 class need to be taught in Chinese.

If we try to look at it in a positive way, these students who may not have the ability to be taught in English completely, would have the transition of 3 years being taught in mixtures of English and Chinese. As they enter S4, they will be back to full English teaching mode.

其實類似既bias一直存在, 學校要拔尖, 你夠尖既,學校好多野都得. 唔夠尖既, 只可以自己摺埋讀書.
