其實我覺得過唔過到chinese primary school to eng primary school 呢關, 最重要係個人本身學習態度問題.... I have three old colleagues who were old girls from St Paul's Catholic Primary to St Paul's Secondary. Before I chose the primary school for my girl, I asked them the same Q, if they found any difficulties transit from Chinese Primary school to Eng Secondary, they all said that they have no problems on that (Their characters are quite similar, humble, positive and v. hard working). 又例如, 我小學都係讀中文小學, 仲要係地區ok個隻only. 我讀A班精英班, D同學差不多全部都派BAND ONE 學校. 有對孖女, 入BPS, 大咗一個婦產科, 一個精神科醫生. 有個成日考頭三名男同學, 自己考入ST PAUL CO EDU, 後來去咗美國, 係NORTON VIRUS做............ 有個成績中等, 入咗QC, 而家做緊LECTURER......... So I think the failure of transition isn't due to the chinese primary school, it's the personality of the student who deals with difficulties.......... 我個時都係band one 英中, 初時都覺得有困難, 只要肯查字典, 肯學, 第一課可能廿個字要查, 慢慢到第十課可能就只有幾個字要查. 好似我阿媽男朋友個女, 個性從小到大都係好逸惡勞. 佢升咗band 5 英中, 見到d野難即放棄, 又跟班人到處wet, 後來hkcee 都0 分.............英小有幾多間呢, 如果担心transition有問題, 可以買英數補充比佢keep 住做, d英小都係用longman本英數多, 睇多d readers, 都可是幫助小朋友適應英中環境
