現在 有BB讀 Think的家長, 覺得物有所值嗎?
今年九龍塘的Think貴了很多, $4500x 11m~ $5萬. 你們的小朋友讀得好嗎 ? 英文和普通話的學習如何? 在上普通話時會否不適應? 我的BB不會普通話, k1上英普會否很難適應? 英文會聽不會講, 廣東話好流利, 仲可以駁咀Tim.

其實我都怕小朋友一返學就只得英文同普通話會難適應(雖然好多人都話唔會)所以我只apply中英班....
每人的價值觀唔同,不如你問返自己apply時點諗丫?冇諗到呢點?如果唔係貴左$500,你係咪會讀呢?

My boy is in K1 (Eng/Put Class) in Think since Aug this year.  He gets a significant improvement in both Put and Eng after school (Note: He did not attend N1 before).  Though he could not talk with me in complete sentence in Eng yet and only respond in simple sentences, he could understand simple conversation in English already.  

Don't worry for your kid.  My boy also did not know any Put before school.  Indeed, he was reluctant in accepting new languages to him before school.  He also would refuse to talk with me in English and not to mention in Putonghua.  Now, he sings Eng and Put songs at home at his own incentive and sometimes even asked me to speak in Eng / Put.  I am satisifed with his performance.  

In certain extent, Think's school fee is expensive.  Yet, my boy's improvement let me think "呢個世界，一分錢一分貨", "2個NET做班主任教你,都算有交待啦" and "其他的不見得平好多".

其實有d唔明, 睇過好多post, 都係話小朋友返屋企唱多左歌, 對學好英/普 (2文3語)好似無mud直接關係....正如我個女而家2歲半, 我都日日播cd同佢一齊唱, 佢都識唱好多英文歌, 但係佢d英文唔見得因為咁而進步左

無意冒犯, 純粹討論下

I agree that being able to sing the songs doesn't mean mastering the language. But personally I do think it's a good starting point. When children are immersed in the language (interacting with NET teachers is a good way I believe), their vocabulary would expand, their grammar will improve, and at the end of the day they can relate what's in the songs to the language. Of course it takes time.

Just my two cents :)

yes, you are right.  Can sing songs is not equal to ability in good English and Can speak.   It is meaningless if your kid just memorize pronouncation of a song without really knowing it.  Yet, we have to admit that singing songs is a kind of teaching method to cultivate interests of a kid to English or Putonghua.  Apart from singing a song, you also need to teach the kid on the meaning of the song.

Worth or not worth it, you could consider at your own.  As I have said, the school fee of THINK is really expensive.

Hello Daisy Daisy, my daughter she is accepted from Think in next year for K1, I want to know the Think is a good school for the baby when she is start to the Kindergarten??  Thanks for you reply!!

My boy is in Think MF.  He loves his teachers and the school is generally OK.
