九龍塘小學六月八日要交錢！

要當日交上、下學期書簿費，買書，買校服及書包；仲要人一定要俾錢參加預備班；自己個心十五十六，可唔可以俾些意見？

我個心都好亂呀！一次過要交三千多元，好像有點貴，始終這間不是我的心儀學校，但若不交又怕仔仔無書讀，我也不知怎麼做，希望有好心人教教我們如何應付。

Actually, this school only requires parents to register after 5th June which is reasonable.  Before they only asked for $160 for place reservation until up to now.  DSS and some other private schools even require parents to quit the central allocation.  The point is that you will have no such dilemma if you can get your desirable place on 5th, but if you lose and your chance will become very minimal for getting place from desirable school at the third round by knocking doors.  Kowloon Tong is private owned which we cannot expect the school will start registration and confirm the nos. of students in August.

agree with gigi2.  Also the school needs the actual number to see how many places are left for the second round application, and starts preparing the P.1 prepartory course in July which is held every summer except last year's SARS summer.

Thanks all of u.

I just learnt from the school that we must buy the school uniforms, school bag from it. The order must be made on 8th. Seems inconsistent with those mentioned in the notce that we just received. Puzzled???

時間應該係咁上下架,統一放榜後先交錢己經算正常,我都為左交唔交錢而煩緊,我收到培道同聖母既信,培道8,9號交書簿費,聖母就10,11號交學費,雜費校車費兼訂做校服.都幾煩.可以睇定D等派位結果出左先算,派得好咪乜都唔駛諗,派得唔好就要交啦.仲有幾日咋,好緊張,報紙話今年少左人參加統一派位(出生率小)派到好學校機會會大DD,希望真係啦.

100% shared with your feeling! I'll try to pay as less as I can. Rather I would buy the school books later. Sometimes, I query whether it is too commercial to ask the parents for confirmation (by paying $$$) months before the school term starts. The stuff that we have to pay for now, I think, are readily available in each and every summer.

應該揀油天,因為唔使交學費,我朋友以前同我講,私校幾時都可以考入去,但官校同津校想插班入去都唔係咁易,所以如果派得好,就讀左派位嗰間先,就算讀後覺得唔好,都隨時可以轉返私校的.

真的嗎?我前前後後都諗咗好多次,但我唔明依家考私校都好辛苦先考到好似九龍塘小學,如果第日插班係咪會易d?我d朋友都咁講過,但又冇實例可以參考!

Absolutely agreed. When my kid and I attended the interview, the school was pretty crowded, just like a fun-fair. So I don't know how many vacancies would still be available in p.2. Perhaps, you'd better have a word with the school informally. BTW, my kid has just been accepted by True Light too. I got to think, any views???

Kowloon Tong school is quite good, its environment is good, the standard is good and the teachers are good.  The school will accept 插班生 each year, but of course depends on whether there are still vacancies (normally there are vacancies).

好多謝大家幫忙！仍然好鍾意九龍塘小學，好o吾想放棄，（淨係睇到九KLNTong 補充書單都鍾意到不得了。因為我小朋友都係用緊oxford reading tree做教材o架！o吾揀KLN tong 好似害o左個小朋友咁！有時會好過意o吾去。) 但冇理由有參不多質素，且派位成績亦差不多的學校o吾讀，走去比錢o架！

其實我都係聽返黎！好似我有個親戚，佢兩個女都係讀九龍塘小學升九龍塘中學，之後讀poly U.兩都畢左業喇，而且好乖，姐姐重係上年結左婚，佢地叫我一定要比個女讀呢間學校，佢地高度讚揚自己的母校。
而我小朋友的班主任亦話，升左去的學生的媽咪都話讀得好開心。重有一個朋友我表弟讀緊小四，佢話佢表弟好乖。佢好錫呢個表弟咁話。咁其他聽返黎的口碑都係好的，除左有一個面試班的老師話呢間學校派位一年好一年唔好，唔係好穩定喎！咁你地覺得點？

The teacher of my kid said that KTS is a good primary school but its secondary school is average only. So if we don't choose its secondary school after 6 years, we will have to wait for the allocation result. However, KTS has a good campus, which is really suitable for those active kids. For me, I intend to choose True Light since it has linked schools and has religious background, though I am not a Christian.
