ICS VS CAIS

我的小朋友今年5歲, 八月將入讀ICS or CAIS. 請問有沒有家長同時也被ICS and CAIS 取錄?可否給予小小意見.

ICS is a school using American curriculum.  Their curriculum matches exactly with schools in the US.  They have been granted by the government a brand new campus in Shatin area.  Students seem to perform better than those in CAIS.  They have a very good Music program.  Their parents involve heavily in supporting the school.

CAIS is a school using Canadian curriculum, Sastchewan.  They have quite a decent campus building right now.  The administration has recently faced a drastic change.  The school has gained good reputation in the past few years.

Do you know if ICS will force all their students to master musical instruments, or it is just an extra curricular activity or optional course for students ?

We enjoy listening to music, but not everyone like to play music so much.

As far as I know, students in ICS must take one music course which may be choir practice or instrumental training in terms of symphony band or orchestra.  It is in their curriculum.  Of course, they will grade students not solely by their final attainment but also by their effort and motivation.  I would not say that they "force" students to play instrument, but to expose students to music so as to find out whether a student has musical talent not yet been found.
