In my opinion,it is not needed to attend tutorial class for that subject.History is not difficult . ...  However, I do agree with you that tutorial class, in general, couldn't help students to get high mark in subjects like history, geography and literatures which are primarily based on memorization, or I should say "memorization before understanding".
