請問有冇人同時申請了RC and Sha Tin Junior.  剛剛聽聞這樣做會減低RC取錄的機會.  可否給與意見.

Not that I heard of.
The present policy is that you can apply to both schools. I know people that got offers from both schools, and people that got rejected by both.
Year One interviews/applications depend much on the performance of a child on the interview day. Some kids might be bright and are just a bit emotional that day and are unable to perform well.
So there have been cases that bright kids got rejected by either or even both schools.
Do not trust "examples" around you. Just relax and rest is probably in God's hands, or if you wish, call it "fate".
Good luck.

I applied SJS for my son, but they said they have received overwhelming P1 applications and can't guarantee an interview for my son, they suggested me to apply RC, but I didn't b/c it is not on my priority list.
My son is holding an US passport, but he was born in HK, what's is his chances of getting admitted?
He speaks good English and Putonghua.

from experience in the past year, a local Chinese holding a foreign passport didn't have a priority over ones with HKSAR passports in applying for ESF primary. However, local Chinese studying in international kindergartens seem to have some advantages over those studying in local schools.
