Anyone interview Keenmind today?

My boy had Keen Mind interview this morning for 2009 K1.
At the gate of school, a staff will give you a flyer for interview procedure.
First, parents go to reception for registration and submission of required documents. There is a indoor slide and other toys for kid playing. Lots of parents and kids. A little bit crowded. Just wait there for calling kids' name for Stage One interview.
Second, Staff call 5 kids as a group, go to Stage One interview. One parent is allowed inside the room with your kid. Two interviewers are welcome the kids and stay inside the room with parents and kids. One interviewer ask each parent which language kids speak at home most time. After that, kids and parents all sit in a mat, one interviewer read a big picture story book in front of kids. Another interviewer is observing the kids and making notes. After that give each kids a music shaker and play a music, let kids dance with one interviewer. Another interviewer is still ovserving and making notes. Finally ask kids to play around. Total about 7-8 mintues in Stage One interview.

Third, after Stage One interview, parents and kids go to upstairs to another waiting area. Wait for kids' name to be called for Stage Two interview. It's individual interview. In the waiting area, a staff just kind remind parent to be relax and encourage your kids to talk as much as he/she can. I think kids can talk is really important. When get into the interview room. The interviewer first say "Good Morning" to your kids(kid and parent have name tag sticker on clothes). My boy didn't say "Morning" back. I know he must lost point in this part. Then sit down beside a table with all kids of toys and cards. Interviewer take a wooden puzzle (fruit and animal shape) to let my boy to find the right place. Also ask what fruit it is. My boy didn't answer. (I am crying in my heart). Then take 3 pieces of blocks in a bowl, ask what it is. Then ask my boy to take the block "one by one" from the bowl and put into another bowl. Then ask my boy to pick specific color of block. When my boy pick the wrong one, the interviwer tell him it's not right, ask him to pick again. After that, same test on color, this time is to match. Interviewer ask my boy to find same color of block to match what the interviewer put on the table. Finally take the cards to ask my boy to name what on the cards. My boy's cards have "bird", "boat", "car", "cup". Then it's done.
My boy didn't talk even when he knows what's in the cards.

Thanks for your sharing. Does KM allow only 1 parent go in like St Cat or KV? Or they are okay to allow both parents to get in.
How about the interview language? Can we choose cantonese or english? do they interview only in cantonese. thanks a lot!

KM only allows 1 parent go in for interview. You can choose cantonese or english for interview.

我囝囝今日都in左KM. 個interview既流程mammamiae都講得十分清楚同詳盡.
其實我今日同囝囝都in左4間kinder. 4間都各有不同, 但KM既interview就令我最印象深刻. 因佢除左有單對單好common既 interview外, 仲有一part係同一班小朋友一齊group interview, 但成個過程KM handle得好好, 好似一般既playgroup甘聽下故仔, 玩下遊戲甘, 小朋友玩得好開心又enjoy! 之後單對單既 interview. interviewer都好nice同有善. 雖然我選擇以中文in, 但個interviewer見囝囝用英文回答佢既問題, 佢即時又用返英文同囝囝溝通. 而成個過程囝囝都好合作. 所以我都開始鍾意KM!

甘你用中文定英文in呀?
其實interview真係幾講采數...今朝囝囝見第一間都見得唔好, interviewer完全無耐性同囝囝傾計, 好似趕下場甘!!:;pppp:

there is lot of negative comments for km. But after the interview. I think the teacher is nice and experiece. She guided my boy very well. Just one point, when we are waiting for the 2nd stages. everyone is standing there and line up. My boy is a bit lost control. Besides that, everything is good.

For KM, as far as I know the previous sesssions (before Nov 15) already have over 1300+ kids interviewed .......

其實經過當日interview後, 我都幾鍾意KM, 但最近見有bk媽咪話上年km小一派位好似唔多好(直資), 就令我有d擔心! 唔知係咪真既呢???

Similar, but teaher also requests my son to sing a song, stick the sticker by himself and throw the unused sticker part into the rubbish bin.

My boy did say morning but that 's an afternoon. when teacher say good afternoon. he is a bit loss.

My boy is a bit loss control as well. Cry!!! He knew the teacher is hiding lot of top under the table. He stand up and stand besides the table waiting for the toy. While the teacher is asking him some content from a picture book.Cry again... The school is good. just my boy is a bit loss control that day. And I ｄｉｄｎ；ｔ ｇｕｉｄｅ ｈｉｍ ｖｅｒｙ ｗｅｌｌ ｉｎ ｔｈｉｓ ｉｎｔｅｒｖｉｅｗ。。

The teacher did guide him a lot and give a good warm up. just that she didn't give lot of time for him to respone and say the answer immediately. Even I ｋｎｏｗ ｈｅ ｋｎｏｗｓ ｔｈｅ ａｎｓｗｅｒ。 Ａｎｄ ｕ ｋｎｏｗ ｗｈｙ， Ｉshould bring him that chocalate biscuit. He didn't give me back even when the teacher ask him to do so.

Ｉthink the interviewer is just having fun playing with him but for accepting . I think it's not very possible.
