我昨日打通, 咁問個職員幾時派表, 佢就話唔係派表, 你自己來學校門前睇通告, 咁我話" 下, 睇通告, 電話唔可以講係乜野來既咩, 我住九龍, 大住肚, 唔同又要我坐車過來呀, 佢話係呀!!"
好啦, 今日坐的士去睇啦! 其實我唸成張通告重要既野都唔知有無200個字。
只不過話係9號至11號派表, 要帶:

1.  出世紙
2.  4張相
3.  30蚊
**收04年9月至05年12月31日的男生 (k2)
就係少少野, 要人白走一趟, 仲衰話政府。  9號仲要去多次!!! 好彩唔係請假去睇張咁無聊既通告咋!!!

Please confirm whether they distribute application in Jan 9-11 or Feb 9-11. I just call SJK, the lady said they are very busy and asked me to read the notice on the notice board. I said I lived in Kowloon, can you just tell me what I need. Then she asked me to call again later.

Maybe is lunch time??

For sure Feb 9 - 11. I went there to read the notice outside their door on Jan 2, 10:00 a.m.

I've read the notice personally in front of the school but it does not mention the form submission date/period.

I plan to bring along the required documents and photos when collecting the application form. In case the school accepts application right away, I can do it on spot.

The information I gether is that if you don't have the required documentations, you will not get the application form. SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE LISTED DOC!!!!!!!

I went there today at 9am and there was a long line up and waited for 30mins for the FORM. I am not sure about the afternoon session but morning session is from 9am to 11:30am.

Must bring along the ORIGINAL birth certificate.

I haven't been to the school before. My impression of the school is OLD

the tables must have been there for more than 30 years.... (same as the ones I have in kindergarten!)

and the staffs are also OLD......

can other mommys tell me what you think of the school?

I went there at 10:30am this morning. There is just a few people in front of me. The procedures are quick - need to submit original birth cert, 4 photos and $30. The staff look a bit cool and nervous, but I think they are quite efficient. My concerns are that at 7/F, I wonder where the shouts and yells are coming from. Later I found out a class having PE lesson at the playground. The shouts coming from the playground are a bit too noisy. Every classroom should hear very clearly the noise!!! I wonder if this will affect the children's learning environment. Also, the kindergarten is at 7/F and they need to take lift everyday to their classrooms - not quite convenient. Do you agree?

Let me check out more later in the interviews.

answer: NO, you need to bring the form and ALL original documents on the interview day... Remember ORIGINAL documents!!!

answer: NO, you'd better go there during lunch time.

I went there at 1:30 p.m. and the number on my form is 15x.. that means almost 160 parents want to apply already.

And I saw a man bring the copy of his son birth's certificate, the worker said... "No, we will not accept u today, please go home and get the original and come back tomorrow!". The same for another mummy who brought "3" photos (missing one!).

As far as I heard, in school year 2008-09, they have 4 classes of K2, 20 students in each class... That means.. If they didn't cut the seats further, we have to compete for only 80 seats!!

Hope the below info. is useful for you.

1. According to the notice posted by the school, they distribute application forms on 09-11Feb2009 09:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. & 01:30 p.m. to 04:00 p.m. (If you went there during their lunch time 11:30 a.m. - 01:30 p.m. or after 4 p.m., I am afraid their door guard will not let you in.)

2. As I have collected the form yesterday (09Feb2009), I can share with you that this is more than form collection as they have fixed the interview appointment for my child together.

3. The completed application form should accompany the child for the interview and not to be submitted separately. Based on my experience yesterday, the staff simply asked us to read the note distributed together with the application form and did not answer any question such as the length, language and format of the interview.

Instead of trying to ask any question in advance, you may simply bring all required documents (the original birth cert. of, 4 photos of size 1.5"x2" and HKD30 cash) and go to the school in the specified date and time.

Note that the above info. is for K2 application only. If you are actually enquiring for K3 application, there is no explained procedure. Maybe it is more direct to write to their principal instead.

Dear Dadbu

(a) You DO NOT need to fill in and submit on 9-11 Feb. You only need to submit the form on the interview day.

(b) It seems that they are dealing with K2 admission now. For K3 admission, you may need to call the office and ask.

(c) According to my memory of the notice info, the application form-taking period are: 9:00am-11:30am and 2:00pm-4:00pm. Don't go at lunch hour or night time. They won't entertain. Pls remember to bring the original birth cert, 4 photos and $30. They are quite straight and I saw them rejecting a parent without original certificate and asked the parent to come later.

I've gotten the application & interview has been scheduled in the afternoon of Mar 13. Any idea how the interview is like? Will both parents need to be there with the child? Is it just the child is being interview or parent(s) too? In Cantonese, English or PTH?, pls help. Many thanks..

SJK的家長及學生都很忙,所以很少上BK了

Anyway, SJK的面試形式很簡單,只面試小朋友,由老師單對單見面,以中文為主,問題亦很簡單,認下圖、配對、問下日常生活問題,大約10-15mins,見面的地方亦很簡陋,一個課室便坐了幾組人,家長企在門口亦清浙見到聽到他們的對答。

平常心吧,面試當日你便明白什麼是"人山人海",申請者這麼多,而學位只得80名...真的隋緣吧。

以我觀察,SJK boys 多是活潑醒目(除了my son),家長是十分緊張他們的學業,其中以大仔,有兄長就讀SJP,爸爸是old boy,天主教及居於灣仔為佳,當然亦有例外,不過應是罕見。
(個人意見,不代表學校立場,歡迎指正!!)

其實唔係嚴厲,是"嚴格"!是有要求.My son 都很喜歡他的老師.老師們都很友善、有愛心。

B.是一星期兩次!!默中文及英文,累進式,一般生字啦,但100分好難得到。
沒有Test ,只有一年兩次的Exam,考番學過的科目。
唔知可唔可信,My son 講過上年考到1-5名同學的名字。

Thank you so much for your information. It must be harder for parents than your sons. I agreed that children accept pressure much better than adult. BUT just think of the long road of education, study etc, etc, etc........ For us as their parents, a degree is just an entry ticket to an interview, this not necessary will land you a job. But the time our sons are ready for the workforce, what will be the education level required???????????

Hope your son will receive the good new and get a place in SJP.
