我仔仔09年9月入讀蘇浙幼稚園K1下午斑,
因為我地係後補, 所以無去5月9日個家長會
唔知有無家長可以分享下果日d內容

Due to the Swine Flu, all the orientation activities have been cancelled. What the parents did on 9/5/09 was go straight to the designated classroom to do the registration, i.e to submit the health record, the autopay form, the kid's photos and pay the school fee. It took us less than 2 minutes and then could leave. So, you have not missed anything as you need to do the same registration for your kid later if you accept the offer.

現在, 我打算讓他上午返YORK, 下午返蘇淅;
但未解決交通及午餐的安排.
而我又希望他中段的時間, 不會太辛苦, 期望可以有小休.

Don't worry, I already know one boy in N1B will go to K1C, so I'm thinking maybe N1B mostly go to K1C and K1E.

GIPW, 好寶寶獎? What's its translation to English. My girl also has a trophy, if only 10 kids in a class can get it, I can't believe my girl can have one woh. I thought every kid can have a trophy for memory in the form of various prize names.

It is a transparent trophy with something written on it like "Amazing Child". To me, every child is amazing and is a gift to all of us, so, I think every child will have a trophy simliar to this if without a trophy like Most Oustanding Award (name created by me).

My son also got the 好寶寶獎, my husband kept it into a drawer. I don't realize it until I clear the drawer last night. 
The English name of the ward in nursery and kindergarten are different.
Nursery: Amazing Child Award
Kindergarten: Smart Pupil Award

Don't be so worried. They can adapt very fast. If your son feel discourage at first, give him more support and encouragement. Listen well to the CD given by the school, could start with the song. That's the easiest way to get satisfaction. If you could not teach him at home, then do it the other way, let him to the the teacher at home, he teaches you Mandarin at home. Hope this helps.
I have not locate a classmate in K1B . :(

My niece also transferred to KCS in K1 from another pre-nursery 3 years ago. She had no previous Mandarine exposure like your kid and she did not have any adaption problem. Children can master a language very quick, no worry as GIPW has said.
For your information, there are only 5 PN classes in KCS, but expands to 11 classes in K1, so, there are many many children transferred from outside.

Hi All Nursery-->K1 KCS mammies, I need your advisory.
My son will be K1C student in coming year.
I want to ask if Nursery of KCS is good or not? I'm thinking to apply 2010/11 Nursery of KCS for my daughter. We live in Tseung Kwan O, I'm not sure whether it's too far for a 2 yr-old girl.... please advise.

Agree, quality is really bad. My kid's s PN schoolbag already torn (爛) in the middle of the term and I have been forced to buy a second one already. Luckily, the schoolbag's price is not expensive. I still have not bought the one for KG, not sure if the tuckshop will be open during summer vacation.

PN時, 我多數都穿自己的冬季褸, 佢地都明白會暖D, 又唔會話我地..算吧..不過K1,唔知會唔會嚴D.

冬季校褸...唔暖又硬......怎止呀!我買的第一件的顏色重勁脫色添呀(I bought from outside supplier),穿了一天即掉了,forced to buy another 唔暖又硬但不脫色的盔夾from another supplier......the quality is still so worst that I do not want to put on my body......so, same as you, seldom let my kid wears loh........I think KG is stricter.......may not good to wear own jacket.
Any parents can suggest me to buy a jacket of better quality for winter? I don't mind paying more expensive price for something better.
