My son had the interview on Sept 17. The school said we will get the result within two weeks.

Have anyone received the letter already?

I received the acceptance letter today, I applied international stream for my son and the letter mentioned that i can either choose to pay the registration fee for main or internaitonal stream. I am still thinking which stream is more suitable for my son since the school will also use english and putonghau to teach in the main stream.

我昨晚才收到，不過係暫取.....

以仔仔既實力，肯自已入去(唔駁我起側邊)冇喊已算有交代了。此面試純了解佢既實力，加上有得參觀及了解此校運作，算係值回票價。就算收咗佢，都預咗最多讀到P4就會被趕出來，因有太多先天問題有排執才執番正，未必兩三年就攪得掂。

都係選津校，起碼我同仔仔都唔駛咁辛苦。

已收信及已繳留位費。我不打算參加大抽奬派位了，因為喜歡崇真。囝囝也讀得好開心。

We finally received the letter from the school last night. My son was accepted for the main stream and put in waiting list in the international stream.

But we are still not very clear what are the differences between these two streams, except the international stream will be in all english. According to the briefing talk, the main stream will have two Maths books, one in English and one in Chinese. But the international will only have the English one. So, it seems that the main stream students will learn better in Maths than the international stream.

As both streams will use both English and Putongua, they are very similar indeed. But the school fee was more expensive in the international stream.

Joshua_BB, i finally choose international stream, becuase i called the school and asked them about the math and chinese standard of the international stream, they replied that the level are same as main stream, they use 1 chinese and 1 english math book in main stream and they use 2 english math book in international stream, also the chinese book are the same. The main difference is they will put a westener teacher as a class teacher and a putonghua teacher as a assistant in international stream, and the class teacher in main stream will be chinese and the westener teacher only teach english class, so that is the reason why the school fees is much expensive in the international stream. However i think the english standard in the main stream is also very good because i know 1 girl study in the main stream and her english is quite good.

Thank you Oscarmon. I also prefer the international stream. However, my son didn't get in and was put in the waiting list. The school said we could call the school again in Jun 8 next year to find out whether they have the vacancy for the international stream.

I quite like this school.

我今天才收到信收我囡囡，但deadline也是明天，哈哈！莫非個個家長都不用上班呢？？真煩腦，我也像之前有位家長說聽完校長簡介會後，即時同我老公的反應是這學校就讀的小朋友好忙呢？？？

到完了簡介會，校長叫我們去參觀校舍，．．．但我想知個校舍是不是就只有集合那處的小操場和小朋友進行面試的範位。如是，個空間真的小了點吧！！
所以現在真的煩，我很欣賞雙語．．．但空間和休息時間又確實很難接受。

現在，我囡囡暫時有『音小』和『崇真』這間收了，請各家長俾些意見

I have a friend, she is teaching in 音小, she said if parents want their kids to develop well in musics, it may be a good choice. The school is very emphasized on musics. If the kids don't like musics much, it may not be appropriate.

祟真 is also a good primary school. As I lived very close to the 基祟中學, I always met some students from that school. They are not bad actually. Besides, the Academy is big. It may also be good that the students from 祟真 have high chance to be accepted by 基祟 for secondary education.

想問下如果accept 左offer, 是否一定要give up "big lucky draw" ?

我囝囝入國際班。不過學費的確是很貴。但我覺得既然老師揀得他入國際班，即是他應該都可以應付得來(因之前聽簡介時知道國際班的workload 應該比主流班重好多，不但要包括哂主流班教的所有野，還有額外日本、法文、並多包含了IB的一些課程內容。聽到校長話家長要考慮埋學生的體力耐力，因為試過可以由早上八時開始上堂直至下午五時...嘩，大學都唔駛咁多堂...)

自己都怕他會頂唔順。不過我又覺得學業的壓力是來自父母多D，最緊要自己不要比壓力囝囝，我想他仍然可以好似現在在崇真讀IK時的天天開開心心地享受課堂的。

就正因為囡囡現在對彈琴都幾有興趣,她會自動自覺開琴練習。(現在返緊通利jmc) 所以我們都擔心如日後要學傳統的曲譜又不知是不是這樣呢!!:;pppp:

另外，我還想問問各家長校舍空間是不是真的如我之前所講只有課室和我們面試時的小操場呢？？

I also worry the workload will be too heavy. Therefore, I may "move" her to mainstream when she cannot handle.

唔需要。祟真係私校，同大抽獎無關，只係好的小學大部份都轉左直資或私立，我比較喜歡祟真多過其他大抽獎的學校呢!

My little daughter will go to kindergarten next year. As her brother was accepted for P1, I would like to apply the kindergarten at the same school.

Can you provide more information about the kindergarten?

你要知道那方面資料? 我囝囝在崇真上國際班IK1-3囉。他上得好開心，功課一般都在學校做哂(全日班)。又多課外活動揀來玩。放長假(如暑假)都有可以選擇的課外活動玩，不用小朋友無所事事，又不用在外面報昂貴的乜班物班...至於學習上都冇乜特別，因為我從來都冇乜對幼稚園課程有太高要求，只要小朋友開心，學到一般的知識，國際班也使小朋友不抗拒英語。也欣賞學校非常重視崇拜、聖經的教導。

My daughter will have an interview for the main stream kindergarten. I wonder if my daughter is accepted, can we change or apply the K2 international stream next year?

I apply the main stream because I prefer a.m. class. The international stream only have p.m. for K2.

Maybe I shall not talk about the kindergarten issue under this topic!!
