如果到時考唔到..就繼續讀下去或轉其他間小學,
好過k3重讀一次!!如果考唔到,會後悔的....

去考先啦...話唔定今年妳小朋友考得好好....

我都有這想法, 不過要與他做些心理準備, 讓他知道他不跟不上而留班, 而是他比同年齡細, 所以他是讀兩年小一.

Don't be frustrated. 我的囡囡也是細B, 妳的囡囡是那月出生? 我也曾經為此而不快, 幸好有身邊的朋友鼓勵. 我經常對我的囡囡說, 因為她的年紀比其他人少, 要加倍努力, 不要令人覺得細B 考不到好學校, 我看她每次面試也盡全力, 把內容說給我聽, 我也十分感動. 我跟妳的plan B 計劃亦是一樣, 不過留待明年六月再打算吧! 現在只有努力培養囡囡的情緒, 令她快快樂樂迎接面試吧!

small B is still OK, even apply for the DSS/private one.

請不用太介懷模擬面試的分數, 聞說去年有排第一的也考不進那兩所超級名校. 小朋友的profile, 所讀的幼稚園, 家庭背景也是相當重要的, 模擬面試的分數沒有計算這些因素, 況且, 模擬面試的interviewer又不是校長, 他們怎知收生準則呢! 倒不如當給小孩熱身罷了!

妳要相信現在的女兒已是最好的了, 對她說模擬面試她已做得很好, 不要給她壓力, 可能有意外驚喜呢!

我認識的朋友當中有12月出生的考進DGS,也見過BK的媽咪10月出生的女兒考進ST Paul Co edu. Plan B 還是留待明年6月再諗吧!

Don't care too much about those mock interview, I found their questions were highly unrealistic. Some of the questions were quite stupid and difficult for children to answer, e.g. can you name 4 good friends? It's indeed a very useless question and I don't think there will be any school asking this type of question. Besides, the enviornment was very noisy. If you were not their P.1 class student, they will of course rank you in a very low position. I have received the DVD but I didn't check his ranking as I want to know how he behaved but I don't think they have any qualification to rank you.

Therefore, don't be discouraged by that DVD, in fact, your daughter born in September is not the super small girl and don't give up the hope, many Sept. kids can work out fine.

Add Oil, still have about 2 months to go!

My son is a small B as well (borned Nov). We got in our first choice DSS school, and he got an offer from Ying Wa too.

He is P2 now and he is doing fine.So just take it easy, have confidence in your child and yourself.

Hope you can get in the school of your choice just like us.

前年我都有同樣問題, 囝囝12月出世, 除了幼稚園的直上小學外, 全部直資小學都唔收, 幼稚園

校長及老師都話唔贊成我個囝囝repeat K3, 因為佢覺得囝囝有能力上小一, 但最後我都選擇repeat K3, 重讀一年K3後, 再次面試時, 表現比一年前差很遠, 所以如果沒有好的直資學校收, 我覺得可以比小朋友repeat一年. 因為除非你的小朋友成績好好, 否則好難插班到好的小學.

以上是我的意見, 如有人不同意, 請多多包含

多謝分享，我想如果今年我小朋友考唔到心儀的小學，我都會選擇幫佢轉校再repeat K3。幼稚園考小學都咁激，上到小學再考小學重要睇埋學校的各科成績，萬一小朋友因為是細B未pick-up到，在小一時不能考到頭三甲，可轉到心儀小學的機會都幾難啦！

From my experience, repeated K3 or P1 is not a bad choice as your kid need to compete with all the big boys/big girls/super big boys/super big girls* which is not easy particular in those elite school for whole the primary /secondary education. There are really pressure for kids and parents. * big boy/gril is from Jan -June
* super big boy/girl is born from Sep - Dec one year before.

My girl was born in Sept and is now two years old.  She has entered nursery in Sept, but I am thinking of letting her to be a super big girl.

Are there many Sept super big kids?  At which level do they normally repeat?  K1, K3 or P1?  It seems that repeating K3 would be the best, isn't it?

我相信情況而定, 有朋友說K1最好, 因為小朋友不知自己留班, K3 和 P1 可能會令小朋友不開了心, 但如果為了那兩間超級名校而repeat K3的話太冒險了, 因為repeat K3 面試表現可能好D, 但不是一定得, 因為學位實在太少了.
