沒有第二次面試的人
會等到公布錄取那時~跟有錄取的人同時接到信~
也就是說~沒錄取的人就是收到拒絕信了~

Dear all,

FYI, I called the school yesterday and they said the letters sent last week were for those who have not attended their interviews on 26, 27 or 28 Sept. They also confirmed that the 2nd interview letter will be sent out later today (if possible) or tomorrow. You may check your mailbox in these couple of days.

Sorry....forgot to mention that the school also said all applicants attended the 1st interview will receive the letter - either rejected or invited to go for the 2nd interview.

Really no question ask to the parents. The parents just sit to observe the whole process.
First part, the questions to kid about their daily life and school life. Second part, according to some pictures and answer the questions.

Because the Principal will interview each candidate individually in everday (Mon-Firday). each in about 15 minutes. Everyday can only interview may be 15-20 candidates.

Don't worry about "marks" la, 7 years ago the first DSS year, when handing in the application, my son did not have christian faith, no relationship with the school, was accepted. Now he is a happy boy in secondary.

Mrs. Chan spoke well in the very first briefing to that very first DSS intake, 'If it was not the switch to DSS, most of you would not be sitting here."

For sharing, the question asked 7 years ago was,"Can you tell me some differences between an ordinary park and the Ocean Park?"

The school is looking for good observation and logical mind.

好好把握第二次面試比較重要

我仔當初冇宗教冇兄長爹地舊分..
亦都有考到

現在進到第二輪共有300人
300個都很優秀
90人可以中...但始終都可能有近200未必會得到
但話唔定這考唔到的200人去了更好的學校如SPCC 或DBS ...等...

Well, eventually most of these 300 can go to good DSS school.  Why? It is because the same batch usually also have 2nd interview offers from the two, three or even four schools, which they have applied.

Then some of these children will be accepted by more than one school in the first round of offer from those schools, while a good majority of the remaining children will be put in waiting lists of the schools.  As no one can take up more than 1 seat in Sept 2010, so most of the 300 boys will be accepted by one of the DSS schools at the end of the day.  This also true for girls.

Even there is no offer in this round of hard exercise, it is not the end of the world.  Last year, a boy had no offer, not even waiting list, from any DSS school, end up in Wah Yan Primary, without catholic faith or connection.

So, there is no need to give unnecessary pressure to oneself and the child, just enjoy the process.

By the way, there are only 3 classes and about 93 places in SPCPS.

9 月初會有 application form download, 但由有 form download 到截表時間唔超過 2 個星期, 所以由 8月尾到9月頭就要留意學校個 website, 而且最好 8 月中就 ready 所有資料啦

係呀，如果你個小朋友宜家讀k2，到佢k3開學就報名嫁啦。據我所知，有d學校係7／8月就面試tim。所以如果你真係心儀某d學校，就要成曰留意學校個網頁啦。

中學跟小學並無結龍喔!
這點要注意
據校長話好似70-80%學生可以直上原本學校

但外界很多人都搞錯以為是一條龍
其實是沒有的

You'll be sitting in the corridor looking into the interview room at your son through a door.
I must say this is the set-up I dislike the most out of all the interviews I've been through.
You feel nervous & helpless watching your son being questioned by the headmistress, and your son can so easily be distracted by your close proximity.
Better prepare your son not to keep turning round & look at you all the time!

在香港, 不論中/小學至到幼稚園, 校名包含"聖保羅/St. Paul" 已經成為信心保證, 但有很多事都要考證一下

St. Paul Co-ed 就應該是band1, 我所認識既畢業生(同事, 同學, 親戚) 多數是比較SPC 斯文, 會考成績未必一定好好, 但大部分學生應該夠考香港3間最好既大學, 而聖保羅書院除了出過個別成績好到見報既學生之外, 普遍學生成績如何呢?

歌都有得唱" 若是你在選擇人, 人亦能選擇你" 大家既小朋友給人評頭論足的時候, 你也可以在成個過程感覺一下你是不是真的滿意呢間學校, 如果校方連面試安排都如此混亂, 或者缺乏智慧, 你可想而知這學校多數是名過於實.

I think the open door arrangement is great! The parents get to see for themselves how their son performed. All the other info on interviews has been "hear say". The kids' versions of the interviews are often unreliable. I thought the questions were very reasonable; none of this "how would you spend $100,000?" type inappropriate qns for 5 year olds.

The registration date was 3-4 days after the release of the 1st round result. So you may be asked to register on 27 or 28.

另外, 校長會有1個簡介會於註冊前提供給正選生及第一備取生的家長, 主要介紹學校的實際情況及可以參觀學校, 希望家長在決定註冊前有更多了解!

a. 2006/07、2007/08 及2008/09 學年各區參加中學學位分配辦法的中學數目及小六學生人數，分別載於附件。中學並非以“組別”劃分。為決定中學學位分

配辦法下學生獲分配資助中一學位的先後次序，每區參與派位的小六學生會平均劃分為3 個派位組別，每個組別佔區內學生總人數的三分之一。

From their Q&A, Band 1,2,3 is only applying to students but not the school. So please do not say Paul Boy is Band 2 school. that is incorrect.

In most people's heart, generally speaking, Co-ed of course is one of the best school in Hong Kong. However, paul boy is not a bad school at all. If you have to put these two schools to compare, agree that Co-ed is better. But it doesn't mean Paul boy graduate is not as competitive as Co-ed.

Most important is Can the school train up our kids for the future challenge.

在香港, 不論中/小學至到幼稚園, 校名包含"聖保羅/St. Paul" 已經成為信心保證, 但有很多事都要考證一下

St. Paul Co-ed 就應該是band1, 我所認識既畢業生(同事, 同學, 親戚) 多數是比較SPC 斯文, 會考成績未必一 ...

Hi YuHangMum,

My son is luckily offered a place in SPC-PS for P1 next year. We would like to know more about the school bus arrangement. Not sure if you have any idea if the existing school bus network?
Since we are living in Kowloon side, we wonder if there will be school bus going to/from kowloon side and the college?
