知道有些學校會用oxford reading tree做教材,
有無人知讀完k3會大約睇到邊個level?
因小兒學校無用這套教材,
所以想參考一下其他學校的英文水平

Yes KCS = 蘇浙
Level 1 for K2.

LHK suggests the parents to buy Level 2 books at the beginning of K1.  I have bought extra sets of book from Level 3-4 for my child (read by me).

請問LHK 是否 Stand for 學之園? Level 2 books 即係邊個series 呢, 因為ORT 嘅 Level 2 都有無幾個series 架喎?

Yes, LHK = 學之園
For example,
Stage 2, "XXX wanted a dog"
Stage 3, "XXX played on the see-saw"
Stage 4, "XXX had a robot. The robot was broken"

I think stage 2 and 3 is suitable for K1 students while stage 4 is more for K2 kids.

Thank you.  My son likes the books very much.  You might bring your child to the bookstore and they usually have samples for it.  Some local bookstores offer 10% off.  Also, it is much cheaper to get it at Bangkok (around 30% off).

Tks for your information.  我個女就未開始返學, 依家就自己係圖書院借左好多本Stage 1 唔同series 嘅比亞女睇.  So far 佢都幾鐘意, 其實都心大心細好唔好買, 不過實在好貴呢!

純粹搭訕。
其實唔使太過拘泥於幾時睇邊個stage；人地第間學校又用到邊個stage；反正oxford reading tree係一個好好既故事系列(我都鍾意睇!)
正如其他家長話；圖書館大把；如果唔係有潔癖，好多選擇；淺就同小朋友一齊睇；深就當故事書妳講佢聽/睇公仔；當佢鍾意/熟悉故事主角，就會自動波搵自己合適o既level睇。
始終睇多d書一定有得著。

You are right.  For stage 1 and 2, my daughter can read the book herself (she can pronounce all words).  For stage 3 and above, she needs help on some wording.   It is not important what level the school is using, it is which level you kid understand and enjoy.

看書作教材和看書作閱讀興趣完全是兩回事；
大膽講句；一年閱讀已經可以跑得好遠!
比較其他學校教材無妨；但別人英文水平高亦不單純是教材較深；
個人建議可嘗試多方面題材，找到小朋友的興趣，再選合適書本，自然會愛上閱讀。
當然Oxford reading tree係一個唔錯o既選擇。

我自己就鍾意買多d啦, 因為呢套書幫到我女增加專注力, 我地會睇完又睇, 佢而家坐定定同我睇半粒鐘都ok! 早幾日仲發覺佢自己學講故仔..

如你女女都喜歡睇呢set 書就真係太好了, 因hkps 係用呢set 書做reader, 個個week 老師會派一本, 你同小朋友read 完, 佢要回校講比老師聽.  如佢一早已接觸, 我相信佢好快會慣學校的閱讀計劃.  學校到下個期仲有一set 叫咩 360 既英文書, 感覺more advance.  我的小朋友也很鐘意個內容同d 圖畫.

我托朋友在北京訂了一套中國版ORT, 但買錯了第一冊, 有沒有朋友有興趣要? 有人要的話我讓出去就費事叫人換了. 是全新正版, 和香港版不同, 是兩本書合共五十四個故事, 字體和圖畫較細, 印刷很精美, 相等於LEVEL 3-4程度, 另有四隻CD, 有興趣可PM我.

這套好以有BK1-4(A.B.C),本書一頁D字多D、D字細D。成本都是一個故事完。佢仲有一款是"Read at home with CD",可以比小朋友一邊睇一邊聽同本書一樣的CD。(伴讀)

I just found the series "Oxford Story Tree" at Popular and Commercial bookstores.  They don't have ORT series.  The stories are exactly the same as ORT.  Are they the same???

我諗最大分別係ORT 係 past tense,
而 OST 係 present tense
聽聞OST好似比較啱香港小朋友, 因有workbook等等
我家小朋友只看ORT,
所以都係略知一二,

Read At Home有些有分level,
但有些無分level~~
無分level 字比較多, 幾行一頁,
一本一個故事, 可能預家長同小朋友一齊睇
Read At Home 細本些, 方便帶出街看
我覺得故事都幾好, e.g. at the dentist, at the hairdresser

ORT 好似stage 8,9開始,
故事書有次序, 6本書一個故事

唔敢介紹乜野書；我都係一個非常懶o既家長；冇花時間去揀書；細個買左d 2手Oxford-Reading Tree(不同level)讀俾佢聽(for Bed Time Stories反正佢都唔識字)；佢鍾意就讀多幾十次；唔鍾意就放係度封麈；
慢慢佢就會認得d字；又會自己睇番d bb書。然後依家會自己揀書睇(我個女鍾意恐龍(!?)同所有動物)；睇唔明先黎煩我...

知唔知怎樣可以令佢更加明白內容?
即一頁3,4行字, 佢可以全部讀晒, 全部生字都識,
但我問佢故事內容, 佢就答唔到重點,
我其實唔係要考佢, 只係想睇下佢明幾多,
若有生字唔識, 我會教佢, 我仲容易知佢程度
但佢全部字都識, 所以先想更深入睇下佢明幾多

香港有得訂:上去www.bayard.com.hk睇吓但係個website慢到死....
兒童圖書館雜誌架見過Adventure Box/Discovery Box...可能有Story Box.
Daily 7/10讀k睇得明都未必有興趣/有時間日日睇；唔日日睇又有d浪費...
明唔明故事內容同講唔講得返出黎好似係兩樣野...
Presentation Skills唔係人人得；如果唔係就唔使俾$學Show and Tell...
當然完全乜都識最好...始終課外書係興趣；拔苗助長只會有反效果...
次次都問我生字；唔識答妳又目露兇光...
我都怕左啦...
只要佢肯自動波睇書，已經跑快好多。
唔使同人比較；俾你k3睇完成套Harry Potter但唔enjoy有何意義?

Hi! 其實英文是種 Phonetic language, 即是如果識 Phonics, 好深的書也讀得出，不過會唔明。

我也中過這個陷阱，曾經 "雄心壯志" 的俾阿仔睇 Geronimos, 最後發現他根本唔明，所以還是轉些淺D睇；

一樣學到 Vocab, sentence structure 簡單些，還更易讓孩子模仿學作句。
