考直資私校, SC 定維記的學生會較有優勢?

A friend of my colleague's son (from Vic) got 10 offers out of 12 schools interviewed (including SPCC, SFA, CKY, YW). Is he that smart? No ... Is he hardworking? No ... Is he having a lor of certs? No ... not even one. Not even start learning any kind of musical instrument.
The answer to this, most likely, is due to daddy's profession.... senior professor in one of HK universities.
So parents background seem more important than which kindergarten the child is attending.

呢句先係"精結"所在.  就算遲d問: 係咪讀XX小學會多d機會入XX名中學? 都一樣適用.  邊間邊間名校出乜音樂/ 運動奇才, 全都係家長背後不知付出多少精力, 時間與金錢栽培, 而唔係果間學校囉.  只係物以類聚, 有相同理念既家長&學生會選同一間小學/中學.

True.   My girl studied at Creative but with me spending lots of time teaching her, she got into APSKT, Logos, Evangel College and after some strategic decision, she got into Heep Yunn.  

To summarise, good KG + good follow-up by parents = success.

其實呢個問題係答唔到的，因為考試嘅係小朋友，而KG只係影響小朋友的其中一個因素。我當KG、家長及小朋友天賦各佔1/3(即係33%)，而當這2間一線KG的差距係15%，以我上面簡單的推算，即KG只影響了結果的約5%。實際上，臨場發揮的不確定因素已大過了這5%。

除了這些，我作為2個現在讀緊KG的小朋友的爸爸，接觸到有一些事可同大家分享。我大仔係St. Cat讀緊K2，而細女係九龍區一間好出名的女校嘅KG讀緊K1(有中小學)，而兩校相比，就會發現St. Cat係課程、教材及一切安排都是非常出色，無仔女係到讀過，係好難體會到佢有幾勁。誇張Ｄ講，就係其他KG點叻都好，都只可能同佢同級，而無可能超越到佢。

講番選小學，佢地St. Cat今年比K2家長的講座剛過。而關於派小學statistic，我亦有drop低。關於佢地上兩年的stat(上年的派位現在仲派緊，所以無stat)，男女拔及SPC，St. Cat攞到offer佔該些學校收生人數，全都在20%以上。而其他好多間一線小學，佢地攞到offer佔該些學校收生人數，普遍都有兩成以上，有的什至去到四成多，好嚇人。

不過話說到尾，不論St. Cat又好，又或其他一線KG的家長，絕大部份不是一般普通的家長。在投放於子女的精神、時間及金錢，我相信都是最多的。所以對這些一線KG所考出來的好成績，根本不會意外。

Cycream 講得好有 senses,kg多人畢業唔＝可以多人入到好學校，只有好質素的kg＋家長培育先較容易考到好小學。

有家長常自跨某kg功課多比KV更多，但一看該kg的派位成績，雖不可說不堪入目但以每月約四千元學費來說實在是＂扼稱＂。 有家長又常說SC的學生入了英華的不濟因而退學，如SC學生真的那麼不濟，那英華每年都應最少有五六個SC學生退學吧！（英華每年約收四十多SC學生）。要知道小朋友上到小3就要靠自己及父母督促，重諗住食老本靠kg時所學的一切？那這所kg實在神奇！

Victoria Kg will have almost 1/3 students go to Victoria primary.

For other 2/3, it is quite evenly distributed among DSS/private/Govt/Subsidy.

Again, whether you can go to top DSS/private depends on the interview performance.

非常同意, 女仔穩定好多, 知道應要如何表現已比男仔好好多.

我覺得SC 考某D學校好似 CKY, GT 等可能會好少少, KV 就 SFA, 宜道等. 聖公會個D就St.paul boys,  因為教學理念相近.

同埋地點都係一個問題, 學校都會睇下大部份考此些又最後會入讀的是那間幼稚園的學生.  

維記就比較冇特定的模式, 好似咩小學都有些. 可能同本身學校地點不同, 學生來自不同地區都有些關係.

我感覺上比較多女仔會有多d offer, 因為女仔一般較成熟，知道interview發生咩事，應要如何表現，而男仔一般比較幼稚，教佢點behave都未必做得番出嚟。

而且如果只報幾間熱門的學校，係好易全軍覆没。我在報校時會分一線和二線學校，各報數間，希望起碼有一間係手個心會定d。

As a working parent, we are so pleased to see teacher's teaching to my daughter. It is true that we also arrange various activities and great exploration for her. Due to many primary school interviews with written test, my daughter is greatly supported by KV with familiar written classwork and homework daily.
