印象中ESF都會安排全部[狀元]接受傳謀訪問，學校高調公佈佳績原因可理解。

ESF从来不缺好学生和坏份子, 希望他们服务香港,能做到坦然.....有善可彰, 有恶可扬! 多年来校生有很多社会精英, 也有成人电影女星, 其他更奇怪的也不少., 何需加倍放大其中的一面. 很希望优秀的孩子们头脑清醒, 可以更謙遜的看待自己,反正人生才是刚起步.

我是个每年都急不可待地把各校IB, IGCSE的成绩做档案的家长, 今年有Anchan 在, 我连这点功夫也省却了, 有朋友真好! 这样做的原因, 不是要找出成绩最佳的让孩子就读, 而是坊间很多夸耀和慌言, 是十分骗人的, 有些很好的学校很低调,便惨变'孤儿仔', 有理说不清. 然真实的数据不会说大话, 或是隐恶扬威, 我唯有从中找出端倪, 搅清楚真相. 颇多友人被偏面的报告误导了, 不是太悲,便是太喜. 甚至于不安到要转校或放洋. 其实真的需要吗?

在这里家长的讨价, 很容易看着别人的分数, 当成自己孩子的远景, 不自觉的回家又对儿女大力催谷, (其实孩子已好生性), 这是自己常犯这样的毛病, 很感谢积极的朋友们时常送我心灵鸡汤,喝完就会好点.

最近外子对小女的sports, 要求很高, 唉! 也是另类的虎爸而不自知!

p.s. 唔开心我会去跑步, 如此下去, 很快可以跑42K(marathon)

快到LS放榜了, 不少孩子付出的努力很多, 甚至于更多, 並品行端正, 结果依然让人失望. 若果我们身边有这些孩子, 可以想想如何帮他们渡过难关. 或者可以学GSIS般低调, 少言, 对好成绩的孩子不当一会事, 已是送给成绩失落的孩子的默默支持.

其實大部分國際學校都軙低調，印象中ESF都會安排全部[狀元]接受傳謀訪問，學校高調公佈佳績原因可理解。本地名校想低調都難，放榜日大批記者守候。任何考試、比賽總有勝負，面對成功失敗亦是孩子一個學習過程，父母亦只可多加鼓勵。

講得好。
最近都幫3個文憑試學生分析他們的選科及擇業，發覺學校支援嚴重不足，學生好徬徨。就算將期望下調，但文憑試的級別跟高校不一樣，又多了核心科目，加上近乎零的升學參照成績，真是苦了孩子及家長。高分又煩，低分重煩。

Pre-IB should also provide good preparation for DP but, as I understand, is school specific and the effectiveness may vary.

I agree that PYP is not the only way to serve the purpose though it is comparatively a proven way with quality control from IBO. The last 2 years of a 4-year or 5-year MYP provide the student a solid preparation for DP as part of the continuum of IB education. Pre-IB should also provide good preparation for DP but, as I understand, is school specific and the effectiveness may vary.

What do you think the difference between Pre-IB and MYP?

Personally, I guess PYP is a good curriculum, but other curriculum may serve similar purpose.

回覆：IB provisional result 2012

Some people get it wrong. The MYP is designed to produce all rounded and open-minded students with a passionate character. It has nothing to do with exam result.
