請教關注國際學校的家長們！多謝！

因為我們剛剛來到香港，對香港的國際學校方面的資訊不太瞭解！希望有熟悉的家長可以幫到我！先感謝你們瀏覽我的帖子！多謝！
我的寶寶去年來參加過新加坡國際學校的面試，面試什麽內容無從知道，最終沒有成功錄取，今年本想再報名2013年的小一，但是看來也是希望渺茫，所以打算放棄。
因為寶寶的英語程度不是很好，我想這也是問題的主要所在，所以現在希望在面試之前惡補一番英文，至少要可以應付面試。因為對寶寶未來的規劃是，讀完香港的小學后，就去國外，所以還是希望可以入讀國際學校。再一個主要的問題是因為寶寶的性格比較靦腆，遇到陌生人會害羞，慢熱型，很快熟悉后又很放得開了。所以也想給他上國際學校的一個考慮因素。
現在想請教家長們的問題是：

1.Anfield school這個學校好嗎？有中文的嗎？因為也不想放棄中文，自己還是要請家教。
2.Kingston這所學校好嗎？
3.滬江維多利亞學校好嗎？
4.國際學校對孩子有什麽特殊的喜好嗎？比如聽說英基比較喜歡外國的孩子。
5.或者有什麽國際學校比較好入讀，學校又比較好的也可以幫我推薦一下嗎？

If you live in 薄扶林, have you even considered St. Stephen's College Preparatory School in Stanley (http://www.google.com.hk)?   It is the primary school attached to St. Stephen's College (the secondary school).   Beautiful campus, and excellent program.  I understand they teach in between a traditional school and an international school.   And it should not be too far from where you live.

However, I do not know whether they have a kindergarten.  And their school fees are quite expensive, even more expensive than ESF schools,  but cheaper than private international school.

我家小兒也是2007年年尾出生, 比版主的孩子還要小.  現在在ICA就讀一年班, 是全校最小的學生.

對於做細仔, 我咁睇: 好似ESF, ICA, CIS呢d, 五歲一年班, 都係play based, 做細仔都唔係太大所謂.  我之前一早為阿仔準備好, 不論中英數都追得上有餘, 亦唔係壓迫佢出來. 如果入一d多功課嘅學校, 我就覺得要做大仔 (如本地學校, victoria, ISF呢d)

另外, 我個仔同版主個仔一樣, 都好怕羞. 佢之前讀蒙特梭利, 讀得非常好, 我好唔捨得轉佢, 但係我真係想佢可以冇咁怕羞 (佢本身係個好開心嘅人), 所以比原定所想提早一年離開蒙特梭利, 希望係一個open D, 有愛心環境, 佢係同人相處上會有進步.

耀中我們去過，K3輪候的有100多名，沒有機會的，而且有一點他們小學部沒有校巴到我們 ...

照睇你應該係住南區/西區的
香港島的國際學校真的有不小,
之前有JM講過ICA (如果我無記錯名字) 是SWCK的直升小學
今年新開的, 應該會有位
而且學校在上環.近點呢

其實大部份國際學校都好早上課，漢基的，住大潭也是六時多上車，晚上八時睡覺。

耀中我們去過，K3輪候的有100多名，沒有機會的，而且有一點他們小學部沒有校巴到我們的住處，薄扶林的孩子7點左右就要上校巴，要是先到我們的住處估計6點多就要上車了，孩子在車上要晃悠快兩小時才到學校，太辛苦了！謝謝你的關注和建議！

你的想法很聰明，給孩子多一個機會，多一年時間去準備，一定可以做得更好。

我建議你讓孩子先補習英文，同時向耀中幼稚園打聽一下，能否插班入讀全日班。如果你兒子能順利入讀耀中K3，相信會比較容易升讀其小學部。

By the way, for some highly competitive IS like ISF, CIS and etc. You may want buy the Nomination Right for corporate or individual/ Capital Note or whatever they name it. Likely to be from the secondary market trough the agent/ brokers trading those prestiges country club memberships.
Call up CIS, I overheard they are issuing new one this year for its expanding campus.

These things give you the priority to be on the top of the games, at least an interview and also a secondary interview if one fails.

You can also visit the HK English speaking forums (Pm me if you are keen to know the name of the forums), those places have more parent with international schools and you are likely to get more accurate and "focus"information for this topic.

Honestly, if I don't mind the $ for the applications ( u know many IS take as much as $3000 just the application fee), I will go for many schools as possible instead of wasting time analyzing the admission possibilities here (worse, with some rather ignorant participants here).
Honestly, the rules of the admission game is complicated and unpredictable in some where. ultimately, it might just merely LUCK that takes place of the whole thing! (Sounds shallow?! Well, stop analyzing it!!)

Just go for it. ISF, CIS, German Swiss etc. Check out the application process/ deadlines and go for it.

By the way, since u r in the South side, ever thought about St. Stephen in Stanley? A rather international local school.
