Dear parents,

May I ask that except Chinese, are all the subjects taught in English? I mean for the teachers, do they speak in English during lessons? Thanks~

In September 1998, the HKSAR government adopted
the language policy of mother-tongue teaching for
the public sector schools. Only those secondary
schools that have a proven record of using English
as the teaching medium successfully are allowed
to retain the use of English as the medium of
instruction (EMI) at the levels Secondary 1 to 7.

St. Paul's Convent School 是一間EMI school.但
EMI同小學應該無關,政府無 list out EMI 小學

Chinese / Chinese II (廣東話教)

French ( Primary 4 - 6 )(法文教)

Mathematics (英文書,英文教)

General Studies (英文書,英文教)

General Studies (Information Technology)( Primary 4 - 6 )

(跟據 subjects 中國歷史,中文

web-site廣東話教, english topics 英文教)

Music (base on the songs)

Moral Education(中文notes 廣東話教

但 some special topics 英文教,英文功課)

Physical Education (通常廣東話教,

但C 班有時會中英一齊講解)

Religious Education (中文書廣東話教,低年級中文功課,高年級功課開始全英文, C 班有時會中英一齊講解)

Putonghua

Visual Art(depend on the subject,

通常廣東話教,但教到畫家通常都英文)

因為我個女讀緊spk, 有個朋友個女就讀緊marymount 小學, 佢suggest我小學唔升st paul's, 去讀marymount, 佢話marymount係真正EMI, 所以我想問下, 唔該晒~~
