I do think there are something different this year. In my case, I am not rich, without any relationship, living in N.T. ,...etc. If they follow previous years' method, I dont think my kid can have the chance even for 1st interview. Personally, I'll more appreciate this year's arrangement because this shows me, at least, that they will give chances for other "Group 4" candidates

Got the "rejection" letter today.  It was a pre-printed form letter dated Oct 23.  May be the school has already decided to reject my daughter right at spot.  By reading the posts here, I think many of the parents are really educated.  No hard feeling.  Besides, it would take tons of effort to bring her up in Chinese standard.

Congratulate to those who got 2nd interview.
I just got a letter, no 2nd interview, only say will post the final result on 19-Dec
Really have a little bit unhappy, but that mean my daughter does not suitable for their education method. Thats fine, there should have one that is good for her. I will keep looking for one is suitable for her.

Many questions in mind about the 2nd interview:

- how many girls are invited?

- what will be the format? 1 to 1 (Mrs. Dai to girl); 1 to 2 (Mrs. Dai to 2 girls); 1 to 3 (Mrs. Dai to girl + parents)?

- What is the chance of admission? 1 out of 2? 1 out of 3? or something else?

- How many will be admitted? Any place already being "reserved"?

Never mind !  I still got nothing (no 2nd int letter, no "reject" letter) at this moment.    Anyway, I treat it as REJECTED.

I just heard that someone received 2nd interview for date 20+ of Nov, looks like the 2nd interview may last for 3 weeks if this is true.

That is what I heard.  Quite a few friends daughter also received 2nd interview letter.

Yes, looks like a lot of girls to compete for this round and therefore need to adjust our expectation, i.e. don't expect too much......

Agreed.  Heard that 500 girls in this round.  So 1/5 chance.

我喺度諗, 我而家收到既係"application in progress"既信, 會唔會學校係怕太多人打去問而出定"application in progress"既信, 慢慢就會再出2nd in 既信比我地依班家長呢?

About 500 girls in this round, just heard from another mum whose daughter also got 2nd int, there was also another bk mum here said the group may be range between 300-500.  Can't confirm the source though.  

About any straight - in, I know nothing, but even this does exist, nothing surprised to me.
