如有在限期前(1997年6月30日)更換British Nationals (Overseas)護照,咁可係英國逗留幾耐?又可唔可以揾PT or full time工作呢?

旅遊入境, 一般有6個月停留時間, 只是旅客
不能在當地工作

一般護照, 停留英國, 是六個月, Imm 有個standard chop, chop六個月停留
"British Nationals (Overseas) can enter the UK for up to six months as a visitor"

通常是六個月, 但會否有個別情況, 會唔會跟旅行團停留時間較短就唔知喎

咁依家持BNO都無，續又貴，到時到期可能唔續了，反而特區passport都好用

Yes you can. But you have to state the reasons and see if they accept.

我21/4寄出，等到5月尾都收唔到，我send email去問，佢有覆我呀，話確定在1/5已收 ...

andreach, I've just called the UK Advice line 443002220000. They checked everything, and replied most probably the passport will arrive HK by mid-July. It takes a few days to print. ( but it's not printed yet!) Suggested me to call again on 1 July for updates.

Maybe you try to call.

Already contacted them last Saturday, asked if they could fast track my daughter's application. Will let u know once we received the passport.

I did ask upgrade or fast track but they said it's not available for overseas application. I've contacted my MP and he is now taking action. My dd is only a simple renewal.

My daughter's renewal application:

Signed online declaration form mailed from HK: 24/3/2014
Declaration form online tracking: Form received on 3/4/2014
Passport received via DHL : 19/6/2014 (today)

看完你們的訊息,我現在好煩惱!

阿女本護照12月到期,已作網上申請及付款, 阿女六月尾先返港,我點都要七月頭先寄出申請表,但根據你們的經歷,我無可能在22-8-2014或之前收到新護照,23-8-2014零辰飛英國!

電郵問佢點解決,佢哋答非所問,只是答假使我未網上申請及付款,就可以約到英國櫃檯做!

Yes you may do it in person in UK. DON'T send your daughter's passport to them before they clear their backlog.

You may also apply for 12-months extension now. Just call the British Consulate HK and they will tell you the procedure.

So I could still call them and change the processing at  UK Office in person, even though I have paid on-line???
