I agree 100% with you.

my girl can recongise colour (and reading the words) when she's 13m, knowing all A-Z, a-z, 1-10 before 24 m...so what? she almost zipped her mouth when she had her interview at SC ! i was so disappointed and could not believe the fact.

then i know that 平常心面對得與失,得不自大,失不自卑,過程努力,結果隨緣!!  It's all God's plan. God will choose the best route for me and my daughter.  

So at the end, I dont focus too much on the interviews...as long as she tried her best and I am still proud of her ! Kids nowaday are very smart and read our minds.  If we are too pressurised, they will notice it !   Like she only did so so in KV (when the teacher asked her to sing and she said No ~) and i am still v happy that she's on waiting list.  Whatever she does, we, as parents, have to be supportive also !

add oil, all mami.  It's truly a lesson to me :)

通常不能面對失敗是家長多於孩子. 孩子是最隨心自然去做. 其實標題不應只針對某學校. 而是所有失敗的家長也不要失望. 但那句"不收更好". 卻突顯了情緒指數不夠高. 語有誨氣了. 若家長心態如此誨氣. 孩子只會學習跟隨.........家長也要從新好好學習調節自己.

This is exactly what I have learnt last year.  This year I have learnt how to accept failure so I would be rather easy going even when I know that my son was not being given an offer for some of the dream KG.  Because I know that nomatter how bad my son perform during the interview, it doesnt reflect his true ability.  I am sure that he can still learn well in other KG.  Imagine my c6 and I were not studied in those famous KG in Kowloon Tong still we are able to get into good universities.  I think this is also something that all parents and kids today should learn.

Hi Jeremyphlam,

  My son currently study in SC, but his sister was rejected.  I have drawn a conclusion (solely my imagination) as following while I found many second child in the family were rejected in the BK forum:

1. My daughter is the second child and will not have the 5 points when choosing the primary school.  

2. Her brother not yet confirmed to enroll any good primary school, thus, there is no guarantee she can generate a good track record when applying the primary school

3. Most famous primary school are either boy/girl only, thus, boy+girl is not a good combination to the KG.

I feel sorry about that, did you ask SC's administration the reason?  Maybe they've forgotten to count the factor of your son or something else.  If I were you, I'll keep on "knocking door" until they give a satisfactory reply.

I met quite a number of cases that SC and KV would accept the youger brothers or sisters for your case.

Did you get any offer from other KGs?

Hi Jeremyphlam,

  Thank you very much for your kind information.  We talked to my son's teacher and she told us to send the "knocking door" letter and we will try try...  In the mean time, no KG accepted yet, KV rejected, and wait for KM and HKPS.  However, if my hypothesis is right, she might not get an offer there even she performed well in the interview, HKPS needs to know the primary school her brother/sister enrolled. But anyway, faith is very important and I knew God has the plan.  She studys in Cannan N1 and so, if no choice, stay in Cannan is still OK and she is very happy here...  There are still two others KG to come, the Pui Ching and Alliance Kowloon Tong, add oil to all to other BK fans.
