先有本地學校大鑼大鼓，比學生 take Chinese B，然後最近我先 ...

IS中ESF最高調，每年差不多最早見報，我明白marketing重要，但是否要咁高調宣傳滿分，大家都清楚因subject choice 不同，同是45分冢可以有好大分別

平心而論，non selective school 平均分35分或以上我覺得已好好，但這分數現已被視作低，好無奈

對，要講愛大鑼大鼓，ESF 是最高調的，特別是早幾年開始傳出政府就快不資助開始。

好學校是很難去界定，例如non-selective school，是否沒有標準去收生？受歡迎的大學學系收生就真的100% non-selective，只收IB分數最高的學生，其他的成就或才能不用考慮。所以也難怪家長去追逐IB高分的學校。

明白，我只是有時見到的家長單一看平均分，無去了解多D，見到D評論話間學校平均分'只得35'真係好無奈

仲有在EK看過有家長話某學校校長在家長講座說自己學校IB平均分是全球第三高之類，真嚇死人

你的例子很多。例一，以前我的中學物理老師說他是亞洲排名三甲的物理老師（應該是最差的三甲）。例二，大學收生敎授說，他的大學收了很多考試満分的學生(但全球排名就100都不入）。

That's simply wrong. English B is somewhat equivalent to (or slightly better than) local school level and English A generally expected from someone with English as native or near native language. For someone growing up in an IS I'd expect English A. At least that's what I did back in the days

For a science student targeting local universities, English A which has a literature component is not that necessary.  For a local hk student in an IS, if he has been studying in an IS and therefore not confident in taking Chinese A, taking English A and Chinese B is an option. But for a student in a local school, you either take both Eng A & Chi A, or Chi A and Eng B.
If you go overseas, you will take IELTS anyway.
