Have you started to teach your son?  Can he walk or speak some single words?

Pui Ching is a famous school but the medium of teaching is Chinese.

In fact, HKPS and Keen Mind are only my main target nursery schools, but for kindergarten schools, my aim is Kentville, St. Catherine's, St. Paul's, St. Stephen's and Sacred Heart.

Anyway, if my daughter is not successful in those mentioned kindergarten schools, I think I will apply Victoria and Cannan.

Very simple. We will sit together and play some Disney DVDs and English songs. We will read books together too.

He can speak very limited single words, not clear though, like baba, mama, 姐姐, 爺爺, 奶奶, dog dog …

I have registered the kindermusik at LH and the little gym but still on the waiting list.

I know Pui Ching is a Chinese Middle School but I do think Chinese is harder to learn than English. It is a difficult language and is equally important to English nowadays. And most importantly,  what I know is that Pui Ching's English standard is as good as most EMI schools too.

Among all your targetted kindergarten schools, I prefer SH. But why don't you consider Heep Yunn and SPK?

協恩好全面, 注重全人發展, 無論學術、課外活動都有很好的成績, 協恩校風純樸, 學生有禮、自信及非常團結.

不過幼稚園生不可直升小學, 但可享有叩門位, 所以即使只有60個學位, 每年均有千幾二千人想考入協幼.

May I know where 協恩 is?  What does SH stand for?

協恩在何文田農圃道.

SH stands for 聖心幼稚園（中上環區）

協恩是全女校，聖心有小部份男仔，兩都均沒有N1, 是由K1 - K3的.　下年先唸吧．

但香港區最多媽咪爭奪的幼稚園應該是聖保祿幼稚園，因為９０%直升的聖保祿學校（私立）係全日制英小．

But I still have querry about Heep Yunn because I never hear this school has 8 A or 9A students in HKCEE.  Maybe, I am not familiar with Kowloon side schools.  

Also, if Heep Yunn compares with Kentville and St. Catherine's, which one is better?

From BK, most of parents always discuss these 2 kindergartens instead of Heep Yunn.

Yes, I agree with you.  Besides SH and SPK, St. Stephen's Girls School, St Clare's and Sheng Kung Hui, St. Joseph's are also famous and competitive kindergarten schools.

Thx for your comment Kyliejet.  Which is better SH or SPK/ SPN?  Seems that SPN is extremely hard to get in.

報紙只報導10A. 一些名校如St Paul Co-edu, St. Stephen Girls, SH, St. Mary, Marymount 等今年都唔知考成點.

不過Heep Yunn 係各方面都好好，但就唔係最Top．
我唸好多人講KV同St.Catherine係因為收生多，自然多家長在BK討論．

協恩上下午加埋得６０人，又唔係個個會上BK.

SH vs SPK, 每年都好多人討論．只可說各有各好．睇你需要．但一般媽媽會偏好SPK．可試SPN, 唔得再試SPK, 但SPN係全日制，學費好高，讀左SPN又唔可以再申請考SPK, 所以要唸唸．

我地好似離左題，哩度應該係share N1喎．．．哈哈

Of course, I prefer SPK because I graduated there many years ago.

SH has a lot of homeworks to do in primary school according some parents comments.

Yes, I know but it all depends on my daughter's ability during interview but I will not send her to study SPN, I prefer to send her to study nursery at Kowloon Tong because I live on Kowloon side.  I think I will apply SPK next year.  

I hope more experienced parents are willing to share interview and teaching in some nursery schools.

I have asked SPN already, they only accept children who is already 2 years old or more, my girl will be 23 months old in Sept 2010, so they said they would NOT accept ar!

And I do not want my girl to study in "girls only" school, there are limited choice for me!!!

Hi, Jupiter and other mums,
My boy was also born 0810 and will join the TT playgroup this September too but the location will be at KLT since I live in Kowloon side. Actually, I am also worried about helping my son to apply for PN this year since I don't think he will know much during interview. Here are my questions:
1. does anyone know the interview contents for nursery schools since I doubt what so young a kid will know.
2. SPN is different from SPK, right? Can a child study in SPN be admitted to SP Primary School?
3. Can anyone tell me the options for PN if I want English and PTH as the medium of instruction? but I want my son to study local primary schools in future.
4. Also, any PN which accept kids younger than 2 years old, apart from Victoria?
5. Is anyone heard of Learning Habitat(學之園)? Is it a good school?
