I've broken the records today by accompanying my daughter alone and wearing jeans (hopefully in an elegant way).
I found Mrs. Dai a sincere and nice person that she greeted both persons in a friendly manner, though I believe those questions would not be able to identify the talent of a kid.  Maybe she has already disqualified us when she saw us.

finished the interview today! The format and the questions were same with the previous interview. Only Mrs. Dai was in the room and looked very tired. Just wonder how Mrs. Dai choose the girls in a 10-minuite meeting.

Just wondering whether DGJS will be the same as GH, which will announce the result earlier.. so that we dont have to "suffer" such a long long time...

Ageed. I think she is nice and so no matter my kid can get the place or not, I think DGJS is fair.

I think the arrangement this year makes more sense.  

It is quite obvious Mrs. Dai wants to push the button herself  for each girl and there must be some attributes she is looking for.

I think you can teach her the basic manner, be a polite kid during the interview. Frankly, I think the questions asked are not difficult at all and it just took a short time. Therefore, I guess Mrs Dai is looking for some other attributes (for the academic result, she will know from the school report). Besides, during the first interview, I remembered that the teacher told the kids a story and asked them to repeat the story and asked them to read the books. This might be the way of testing the kids' concentration and their ability to express themselves. Besides, let your kid read more story books, tell the story by herself,etc may also be useful because in this year's 2nd interview, my kid was asked to describe a pic.
The above is just my own feelings and and sharigs but not conclusive because my kid only attended the 2nd intervew but the result is not yet released.

thanks for your prompt reply. Your girl is great coz she can attend the 2nd interview. BTW, have you attended the interview class? If yes, do you think it's useful to DGJS interview? How about the four-page portfolio? What should I include in the portfolio?

My daughter told me that Mrs Dai was busy to review the documents during the interview. So that not too much eye contact between them. I am afriad that she is very concern the profile and acedemic result in school report instead of the performance in the interview.

Yes but not a special class for DGJS ( the offer some special classs). It may help because the class teacher will point out the weakness of your kid.

so interesting, my girl attended the interview on 3 Nov, afternoon, but she told me there were two teachers in the room.

My case is Nov 03 morning but Mrs Dai just concentrate on asking my kid questions and did have the eye-contact with my kid (my kid told me why Mrs Dai always looked at her like those tutors in the interview class)

Yes,we met at least 4-6 CCKG students.
This afternoon only Miss Dai was in the room.

We were in the morning section, Mrs Dai and another teacher inside the room.  Our partner is a CCKG.

We met 6 SPK students on 9/11.
