I can't understand why you can't follow the discussion. We're told that the rule, no matter what it is, is clearly written in the school regulation, and is repeatedly told to the parents and students. At the end of the school term, the school executed the rule accordingly, even considering exemption based on merits of individual cases. At the end, some students were 'punished', according to the prescribed rules. What's wrong with that? Are we not training law-abiding citizens? Or are we so used to consumerism that whenever the consumers yell, they can't be wrong?

我已重覆多次了，一早寫了在手册的校規，並不代表就合理，有教育意義。希望不要再有人提出類似的問題。

我覺得得呢個校規完全無問題。可以執行。

對多次曠課或多次不守校規的學生，學校不安排考試，或不作考試評分，我覺得很合理。

咁如果明知校規係某，學生/家長都有權利轉校，點解要死守係1間自己認為唔合理既學校呢？ 有權利，亦要有責任。有某d工作，工作時間寫明係12小時。你自己接受左呢個條件，至接受呢間公司聘請。而唔係返左工，至走出黎講工作時間太長，唔人道，搞抗議。

我覺得跟本唔係針對事件，應該係衝住校長的私人恩怨，建議我們不要再回應此貼，有佢沉底好了！

For me, the answer is YES. Just like a contract: you were told the terms right at the start, you can reject the offer and go; OR contest the legality of the terms in court (or something like civil disobedience). But NEVER ignore the terms, and at the end yelled that the other party is 'unreasonable'!

Just like JUPAS. It will give the DSE stuents ONE OFFER on 8th August, and if you don't reply by 17:00, 9th August, your university place will be given to someone else.
You MAY protest that's unfair to those able students (with very good DSE results) that FAILED to meet the tight deadline. But this IS the deal JUPAS offer. If you were gutsy enough, you might challeng it, or reject to play by its rule and go overseas!!!!

You may say that's unreasonable. I'd say, that is life!
