Hi, The name list, the car number and the table number regarding 1st May picnic has been upload to eclass. You can check who you will be with. See you in 1st May.

Rumour has it that Dr. Law the Principal will be joining us in the picnic tomorrow. Is that true?

It is not a rumour. It is true. Dr.Law will joint our picnic and he always support PTA and work so nice with PTA.

Dr. Law was surrounded by over 10 parents all the time, wherever he walked in Nan Lian Garden. He had done so much sharing with us during lunch.

Everything is so smooth. PTA directors are so helpful, especially Mr. Chung.

各位，現代的小孩的學習能力比我們這輩的人強多了，而且腦袋也非常靈活。根據好多科學的驗證，小孩在七歲前學習語言的能力是非常強的。請各位不用擔心。我們要相信學校，更要信任自己的小孩。不然就沒意義了。語言是一天一天積累的，急不來。

Yes, I don't think my son has confusion about the 2 sytems....as they do learn them at different times and using different words, pictures, etc.  They can shift to Chinese or English just in a click!  The earlier the exposure, the better!

My child doesn't seems to have confusion about the 2 pronounciation sytems. Perhaps it is because I did not try to find out.

But even if there is confusion, it may not adversely affect the learning ability of them, since we have frequently seen foreigners learning and speaking PTH better and faster than we Hong Kong people.

有沒人覺得G1的數學課大深, 比如說: 63-37=??

有必要這麼早就要他們懂得借位進位嗎? 還有, 教數學又用普通話, 我看實在沒有多大必要, 因為數學重理解, 以普通話講解, 明白數理的能力就由百分之百降至百分之八十.

還有, 這數學的文字題也不少, 學生真的能充分理解嗎?

數學的習作也不少, 反反覆覆的操練, 真有用嗎?

其實, 如果把微積分的幾條公式教了小孩, 只要他記性好或聽話願意去記一些自己不懂的東西, 這些小孩子也能成功答題, 但這是教育嗎?

我不是在說PKC的問題, 我說的是整個香港的教育課程問題, 有必要揠苗助長嗎?

照這麼下去, 女孩子的成績將會比男孩子好, 因為她們較早熟較聽話, 但像陳奕希般的具創意學生恐怕就沒有發展空間了.

我不怪教署, 情況到今天的地步, 很可能是小家庭的父母迫出來的, 市場規律嘛!

我只希望, PKC不要隨波逐流, 不要走傳統學校的填鴨教育.
