I just called the School, and the staff is NOT polite at all.
1st interview date will be 10-12 Oct.
I asked whether I submit the form earlier, then I can interview earlier, like on 10 Oct (because I need to attend my girl's school meeting on 12 Oct). She replied impolitely, NO, it is random !!! Is it true? How can I make sure my interview will not be on 12 Oct then?

Relax. I guess the staff got tonnes of calls everyday. From my experience, earlier you submit the form, earlier will be the interview. Yet, no guarantee at all. Also, their time control is quite reasonable. If the interiveiw day clashed with your daughter's school meeting, see if you can attend in between the interview. Otherwise, you can ask your relative to bring your kid for the interview. Parent's attendence dose not count for the 1st interview.

Declare: My son attended the interview of DBS only and he is not with DBS.

作為家長, 面對仔囡小一面試, 除非冇要求, 要Relax, 真係講就易, 做起上黎都幾難.

做人幾時都係咁，選校亦是
服務好，態度GOOD，送書送校車，唔使俾學費，你都唔會去
態度差，要交學費，完全冇得Say，入學後可能會叫你唔鍾意可轉校嘅，你就夢魅已求

唔同人對於簡介會校方表現的態度會有唔同理解，呢點我明白。我肯定校方並無於第一場簡介會上有講你呢番說話，或表示呢種態度。反而有家長於提問時段質疑學校的一些教學政策，例如普通話教學。我愚見認為，既然大家都係為子女尋求一個良好教育環境，若然對某些學校的風格並唔認同，就勿勉強幫子女報考。

直接地說，這是市場定律，是入名校的代價。不過，公平一點，有些家長因為吃不到的葡萄而說三道四，又有些死纏爛打，真係好鬼煩。

That's good, forget DBSPD, just apply the other schools.
Be honest, different schools have different styles, also DBS's DSE results up to now not impressive, you should go for other schools. But years later, I can't tell.

簡介會不是一場親子講座，不要求有人令你捧腹大笑，也不會有人播片感人摧淚。

與其一邊報考，一邊罵，不如不報留力留氣留時間去考自己滿意的學校。

True!

But one interesting thing is DBS is always the one being critized. I seldom hear similar criticizm for DGS or SPCC. I am not saying DBS is not good. Yet, there must be something to make the difference.

Maybe its really the culture makes the difference. I do not believe boys from DBS are more "inch" and in fact most of them are good boys indeed.
