美國對interview的重視程度，係遠低英國和香港。

係呀, 不過無論點, 年青人走到呢一步, 要一個人面向世界級學校同埋其他最top既學生, 我真心覺得好proud of佢哋, 父母見到孩子長大到一個年紀要佢自己去闖, 去面對一切, 父母真係百感交集

Correct. HKU law interview used to be group interview (not sure how it is in recent years). As for Oxbridge, the interviews are for the teachers to pick the students they want to teach (that's why the no.1 assessment factor is teachability).

Do you have any idea sbout the rationale behind？ Group or individual interview can reveal different things, but why Oxbridge prefer individual rather than group in, I really wanna know. Btw, sone consultants suggest students start to develop their stories way before sending the applications to Universities, say, joining debate team if your target is law.

IS一般都有公佈學生去咗邊的大學，university profile/student results裡面可以睇到，top IS例如GSIS/HKIS ...

我孩子一個師姐 HKU law 一年後去 oxford year 1, 她喜歡 oxford 那種師徒制，一個 professor 帶幾個學生，每次見 professor 前要做足準備功夫。正如樓上家長講，老師会選啱的學生，所以 individual interview 会合適D？

We can only guess.
Is that because Oxbridge has a “college” system and there is a strong sense of college professor teaching college students, not entirely leaving it to the University.

From a common sense, Group interview is more efficient from the interview process point of view, but not ideal in terms of general knowledge about the candidates.

太約有30%的申請者獲得Oxford面試的機會。大約3個面試者中會有一個獲得Oxford conditional offer. Oxford 對通過左面試的學生比較大方，一般IB要求的分數都係38分左右。對於這群通過左面試的精英來說可以是非常之容易達到的要求。因為獲得面試的學生差唔多全部都係PG44/45, 見學校今年有3，4個獲得Oxford offer的同學，都係性格上比較全面的學生。

早幾年有一個女兒的同學，得了 Oxford offer CO 38，最後拿36，他家人認識牛津教授，也空喜歡一場，入了 Durham。

呢個就係我所講PG要跟學生能力相符嘅重要性。返學校要求老師俾高一分PG係冇乜用。

我覺得有Oxford conditional offer 而最後又唔夠分數的人為數唔多，我唔評論個別例子。由另一個角度看，其實這位同學未必係差，IB近滿分而fail 左Oxford 面試的人大把。Oxford 由教授去interview, 而且每位同學最少2，3埸面試。能夠通過面試的都是叻人。

我補充少少資料，牛津劍橋會真係暉personal statement，要筆試，面試（會問PS內容），然後出CO ，個CO 低到你唔信嘅38，近年會唔會調整你再留意一下。

重點係在整個收生過程覺得這個學生值得收，不是單純睇PG或者最終成績，CO低過PG，反映大學係欣賞這個學生，而且預咗佢會在正式考試失手。

不少PG及Actual 45，但入唔到，係考筆試及面試表現不如理想。
