Freddielau, don't worry: there are usually candidates selected but actually will apply those private or will wait and so. I am sure that there will be place for your child.
Gut Cheung San Po: Do you mean that your child is now in G1 MK. I do think your child will be so happy in the school and activities. Long to hear your sharing with us. Thanks.

Hi Freddielau,

Don't give up.  If GT is your 1st choice, be proactive to sent letter to principle in regular basis, e.g. a letter per 2 months.  I have listened that a parent did so and being accepted.

Hi all pre-GT parents,
Long time no see.  Any update at your side?
My kid's kindergarden starts teaching 普通話.  She is happy in singing those 普通話 songs.  Hope she can catch up with the P1 lesson teaching in 普通話.
I have applied phonic course in her kindergarden as well, just because her pronunciation is not too well.

I know that there will be a evaluation exercise on 多元智能.  What is the details?  Is it useful for you?  Thanks!

Really long time no see!!

My son asked me when he would become a P1 student when he started the first few days of K3 school life!! He's a little bit disappointed when I told him that it would take one year's time!!!!!

I really don't know how it would increase the chance to be admitted by GT. But I do agree with their "教學理念" so I chose a kindergarten with the same one for my son. My son's character is also very active and initiative. The kindergarten's teachers also told me that he may not be suitable in studying in the traditional schools. The GT teacher told me that their students were not quiet when we went for registration. Hope this can help you a little bit.

Don't worry, next year will be the easiest year ever to apply for P1, due to extremely low birth rate in 2002.

tks for your reply. 但我仍然好擔心,因為"優才"的教學理念我非常認同,我好想囡囡有一個愉快的童年,但同時想有美好將來...但如果考唔到點算好?唔想讀好多功課的學校,唔想囡囡只考分數,被動思考

我個女明年都會報考. 我最鐘意GT係"小班教學", 同"直升中學". 因為揀中學仲難過揀小學.

上星期問過李教授, 佢話中學人數唔會少過小學, 學生只需中, 數兩科有60分, 英文有70分, 操行有B或以上, 就可保證原校升中, 預計八成幾的小學畢業生會附合上述條件. 比起某些名校茜走一半的安排, GT就好得多了.

Hi, 吉祥三寳, my son is also in M1A wor.

GT is a DSS, thus there is no guaranteed admission for the younger siblings. They will have to compete against all other applicants. How old are your other kids?

My son will take interview soon and want to know what language and question for the interview ? I want to know more above your school and the standard of P1 such as english/chiness maths, what is your command?

我個仔雖然係G.T.既中學部學生(G.8)，但我對小學部亦有多少認識，我可以嘗試回答你。

G.T.已有10年歷史，口碑一向好好。它有別於一般傳統學校，佢地強調愉快學習及多元智能發展。此校少功課，少測驗，少考試，所以小朋友好鍾意返學。

此校既特色係小班教學(每班約24人)，學校透明度高重視家長意見，老師有愛心關心學生。學校逢星期二及四設有才華班，有80多項活動供全校學生選擇(可選2項)。另設有增益班(即上實驗堂)。學生如屬資優生，經挑選後學校會在課後有個別培訓。此外亦設有各項課後資優組，如語文組等，幾年前曾有一位小四學生因為參加了此語文資優組，結果能寫3000英文字。

另外此校雖然屬中文小學，但小一英文堂已開始學Phonics由外籍老師任教，而且由G3起，各級會有一班由外籍老師做班主任。此校學生既英文程度相當高，去年全級小五學生報考Flyer(程度等同小六)，共87%學生合格，並且有15位學生攞滿分。G.T.未有中學部時，過往有70-80%能升讀全港各名英中。此外由G2起中文堂係用普通話教。

Though no guarantee that they will admit my other kids, but I think that the chance is greater, at least the parents interview would not be a difficulty to us.

Have you attend the sharing session last Friday? If so, we should have met that day. You should have some idea who I am after reading the message I sent to TLWC.
