我只把學校的官方資料作統計，當然資料不全時我會作出一些假設。

不是每一家中學都公布，而公布的形式亦不盡相同，例如有的只公布把成績優異學生的優良數目、有的只把最好的科目的成績公布。公布的時間也有很大出入，快的可以在會考後一星期，慢的可以明年才見到，當其他學校在其網頁登出成績時，我便會把成績加入這討論。

其實都可以想像到，考得好的學校，自然想其他人早點知道。

The web-stie of St. Joseph's College can be entered now.  As I don't know how to post the link, I quote below the extract of its report on this year's HKCEE result:

Result Release of the HKCEE 2007

St. Joseph's College has scored a total of 263 Distinctions, including 5* for English Language and Chinese Language, in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) 2007, with one boy achieving 8As and two 5*s."

In the absence of information on the number of students sitting the examination, we can only do the calculation on the assumption that the total number of candidates was 200, which is the class structure shown on the relevant government web-site.  Your calculation is thus correct.

Thanks.  At least I have the official data now.

Schools usually show the number of students in each form in their annual reports.  Unfortunately I don't see SJC does that.
