維多利亞K2維多利亞小學仍未收到信!

孔校長在今年開PTA委員會議時曾說(約今年年頭,是一位委員同我講的)，所有Victoria幼稚園生如第一round 揀VSA，那VSA一定會收，估唔到孔校長會咁冇口齒！

Which seminar?

The one at Shum wan (2 months ago), the main discussion are in those A4 papers, i.e. the timeline for applying, interveiw & paying the admission fees & deposits (if you were selected).  They did let the VSA kids perform a show and you can listen their English & PTU levels. They said there're usu 5 classes (28-30 students each) and max 7 classes per year.  But they haven't mention about the details of admission criteria (non the interview format), of course no schools will explicit tell that.  

The second one (just recently) is really focussed on the application of all types of primary schools (private, DSS, etc).  And Ms Koong said "it was like a lucky draw for her to admit the P1 from the kindergarten kids, since every kid is so pretty after all."

Have I miss any other?

I think she mentioned about the number of applicant last year and her difficulety to get them all because it was like 120 out of 220? she did say they were people coming back after the government round and no more seats for them.

「confirm咗有三個同學!佢地係×××......」不過我都唔知佢講真定亂講!但如果真係嘅話!維記主要想收D 多嘢講而且活潑同愛表現自己嘅小朋友。不過佢地三個好似放棄咗入讀!

其實冇必要估估吓人哋會唔會放棄... 乜都要等十月到期交第二筆留位費先知... 依家真係多啲同小朋友練習吓不同面試技巧重實際... 要搵間好學校, 唔操fit啲, 機會好渺茫... 維記暫時忘記佢啦...
入唔到曼聯, 踢利物浦都好過要踢降班伯明翰!

孔校長唔係响嗰個special semina講的，係咁樣，每一個新學年PTA都會投票選委員，競選完畢後孔校長同會同PTA的新舊委員開會，這個會係响special semina之前開的，孔校長就係响嗰個會議講 "所有Victoria幼稚園生如第一round 揀VSA，那VSA一定會收"，因為同班其中一個家長係委員，係佢開完會後對我說的，因為佢知道我想小朋友升讀VSA，佢係想我放心，但點知...........！相信所有委員的子女都可升讀．

我都識得家長係委員嘅英/廣下午班小朋友收咗... 而英/普上午班嘅小朋友就收晒咁滯... 普通話流利嘅英/廣小朋友又收... 總之普通話唔得又冇委員家長嘅小朋友, 應該都係waiting list喇...

for those who are on the waiting list, what are you going to do.

I heard from the staff that 1)waiting list ~ rejecting list, 2)no example of successful admission from the so-called waiting list before 3)they have over admitted students already, even some drop out later, they won't..............

好學校多的是, 而維幼學生多數派位或考其他學校都頗有運, 塞翁失馬, 又焉知非福呢?

我小朋友普通話極之流利 英文尚可 活潑愛說話！但一樣....肥佬. 再加一項 我也是全職媽媽  我也很失望 從小組讀到現在 她還不選我. 只能安慰自己他們沒眼光 當然我完全同意這間學校非常commercial 尤其見到名人就雙眼發亮 對於我們這種small potato 對學校奉獻未必輸給名人 不過相對得到的重視 就大家心裡有數！:;pppp:

我問:「我小朋友是waiting list嘅小朋友現在情况有冇入學機會呢?因為如果收到confirm信嘅,收票都應該有齊人數!都應該知有冇一D位淨。」跟住有關人仕答我:「校長出咗trip一切要問佢先知。」我諗大家不如趁暑假操fit啲自己小朋友去見吓其他學校好過!

My boy will study K3 whole day class, but he is on waiting list.

I think this year they have many applicants since VSA's interview was held earlier than almost all the primary schools.  Some parents may treat this as an rehearsal.

When the child is got accepted, his parent is required to sign an undertaking letter which is quite harsh.  One condition is that the child has to give up applying any schools including particating in the central allocation.  If the school finds out that the child, who has submitted the signed undertaking letter , subseqnetly applies for other school, then VSA will withdraw the place.

Therefore I expect that some parents may give up the place when comes to signing the undertaking letter.  Don't worry too much.

我諗好多家長好似我一樣好安心以為VSA會一定收返佢D小朋友上P1所以喺維多利繼續讀埋K3點知人算不如天算!而家又要四圍撲小學!不過其他小學收生標凖同维多利亞不同!英文普通話一般傾講冇問題!但如果論寫字計數維記小朋友比較弱所以各位家長要給小朋友加緊練習!

There is no need for VSA to interview the students then.

Just ask the Class teacher who can speak Putonghua will do. Also, make sure they know which parents are celebrities or school committee members.

Also no need to have Eng/Cantonese classes in victoria, as they have no concern on Cantonese.

Such a "GOOD" school policy and mgt!

非常同意，學校叫我們去interview只係做show，有冇人知道教統回覆港同事件（如下），是否包括幼稚園升小一？

"教育局昨晚的回覆是：「一條龍學校（包括直資及私立學校），應有相同的教育理想；在課程、教學、學生個人發展等方面，都應該銜接，為學生提供連貫的學習經歷，以及做到真正的『不放棄任何一個學生』。故此，一條龍學校須全數收錄結龍小學的小六畢業生。」「而直資學校可根據校本需要，訂立適用於所有學生的升級／留級要求，並確保家長充分了解有關要求。」"

所以我覺得好唔公平，如果唔係直升，應該一早要同我們講，家長可能有唔同的選擇，學校係完全唔理人感受．

唔好咁無心機, 好多學校喜歡收維幼生的, 因為除左語文有一定程度之外, 維幼學生大多數合群純真開朗, 不怕表達和發問, 仲有好的家長tim。
唔係亂吹架, 真係知道d同學考出面小學鮮有一間都考唔到, 當然要報學校策略也很重要, 唔好淨係報埋d勁多人爭的spcc, St. Paul convent, DGS個類啦。
我囡囡都面試左5間, 有傳統有活動教學, 未聽佢講過有邊間考寫字同計數。
