1. 課程程度- The SI are splited into 5 classes. In 2007-2008, 1A & 1E used Putonghu to teach Chinese Language.  1E was the best class in English.  Overall, the academic standard is high.  Besides, the school requires the student to attend various social services.  
2. 收生標準 - most of the students are Band 1.
3. 校風 - very good, the relationship between students and teachers are close.
4. 校長 & 老師態度, 是否願意接觸家長呢 - They are open to students and parents, they care about every students.

**There will be an English camp for new S.1 students, the camp is not only an school orientation but also a leadership, musical camp. At the end of the camp, every students need to participate in the muscial show at the parent's night.
Besides, there were variety shows for students, such as fashion show, singing contest, etc.  They have just enjoyed their annual concert in the City Hall last Friday, it's really a good show.  It's impressive and unforgettable.

No, my son sat for the 叩門 exam last year.  Actually we haven't apply the school at the first time.  The principal of the primary school recomended my son to the school and 匯基's Principal granted us an interview and promised to accept my son without any exam.  Yet, since I still want to wait another school at that moment, we decided to participate in the exam.  Therefore, we have no detail information about the normal interview.  I think besides the academic results, the school mainly concern is the conduct of the student.

No, I think only because the primary school's principal & one of my friend (who knows 匯基's principal) recommended my son.  
The primary school's principal thought that my son should entered a better school other than the band 1 Chinese school he's obtained.

Yes, she's really good.  She prepared at least 2 recommendation letter for each P.6 students and taught the parents how to make the student's profile, taught the students how to deal with the interviewer.  The teachers also reviewed the students 30 choices and gave comments.  Unfortunately, maybe my son's number was not good, he got a Chinese secondary school only.

CCS is Chan's Creative School, (啟基學校)
which locates at Sham shui Po(Boundary street-just beside "Fa Hui"
The school give every student explosure in the annual "talent show", in which each student has the chance to present on the stage, no matter what they show, maybe singing, orchestra, choir or dancing. The Principal always says : every child has his own talent.
I highly recommend the school to kindergarten's parent.

Just a correction on SI classes:
1A and 1B are taught in Putonghua as opposed to the other classes.  For 2007/2008, 1A and 1E were the classes for students with better English.

Interviews are conducted on a 1-1 or 1-2 basis (1 being the student).  The conversations will be mainly in English but also can be in Putonghua or Chinese. Basically, topics surrounded on activities the student had undertaken or his/her views on certain public issues during that period.  My son indicated his interests in Chinese history and the teacher (being the Chinese history teacher) immediately started a discussion with him on the various characters and different dynaties.

Hope this provides some information to how interviews are being conducted in UCCKE.

My girl was admitted in 3rd round (knock door) in 2006/2007 and my son applied directly to UCCKE for 2007/2008.

Just read this thread that coincidencely my kid is also studied in CCS and also thinking to apply 東九龍匯基. I hope Principal Mok's letter could help.

But I have one concern that hope some of you can give me the advice. Does 匯基 teach all subjects in English ? I worry switching from CCS to 匯基 maybe difficult for my kid to adopt.

Hope I could get some idea from all of you, thanks a lot

CCS家教會每年會安排小六家長會, 並請舊生回來講講他們的現在的中學生活, 因有很多舊生讀東九龍匯基, 我想今年都會有舊生回來講, 反而顏寶玲冇聽過, 其實也不用担心, 小朋友會很快適應, 只要小朋友喜歡那中學就沒有問題, 校長的推薦信我不知作用多大, 但小朋友的面試表現及成績是最重要的.
