Suggest you inform school and amend the name cos the certificate will bear the kid's name.
But if it is not an error made by the HKEA, you need to pay $$ for making the amendment.

Last yr my kid's name was "wrong" cos the Engl name was missing, and it turned out that the school staff omitted to write the Engl name, I still had to pay for making the change.

You need to get the school chop on the amendment form, then take the form to the Speech Fest office (in Homantin) if the school does not do it for you.
