I'm a K2 parent at Victoria KG.

Many fellow parents do not choose VSA mainly because -

(1) The school fees of VSA are exceedingly higher than that of ESF.  VSA is after all a local school.

(2) IB programme is not parents' preference.


On the 1st day we parents put our children in Victoria KG, all are pretty aware that the emphasis is happy learning and learning through exploration and inquiry-based curriculum.

If a few complain about the level of academic knowledge your child has acquired, this is probably because your child is not inquisitive enough.

Some children are passive; they learn through spoon-feeding instead !

If you live in South Horizons and want your child to have difficult homework, you should have chosen Good Health (康傑) !

I've also heard that a K3 parent in Vic Kindy only wants to go to VSA (currently still on waiting list).

I want to know how likely is it for Victoria Kindergarten students getting into P1 of VSA?  If you do, can you still interview for other schools?  Thanks!

Yes, you have to pay the deposit if the school accepts your kid (forget the amount, sorry.)
The interview for the kid took only about half an hour.  It should comprise the reading of stories in Eng and Mandarin told by an English and Mandarin teacher respectively, and then some group drawing/conversation/playing.  No pressure for the kids at all.  During the interview, parents could not accompany.

One more point to add - the first deposit was usually payable in May 2010 when the 1st round of offer was made.
