Thank you so much for your information.  It must be harder for parents than your sons.  I agreed that children accept pressure much better than adult.  BUT just think of the long road of education, study etc, etc, etc........ For us as their parents, a degree is just an entry ticket to an interview, this not necessary will land you a job.  But the time our sons are ready for the workforce, what will be the education level required???????????

Hope your son will receive the good new and get a place in SJP.

真係好少有sjk家長上bk分享,

我有唸過同囝囝考sjk,
不過依妳所講, 成功機會極微,
或者當係見識下碰碰運氣就算﹗

聽聞st jo小學以前享扣門階段可以收哂sjk學生,
但轉左小班之後就收唔哂,
請問而家大約會收到幾多%?

Anyway, SJK的面試形式很簡單,只面試小朋友,由老師單對單見面,以中文為主,問題亦很簡單,認下圖、配對、問下日常生活問題,大約10-15mins,見面的地方亦很簡陋,一個課室便坐了幾組人,家長企在門口亦清浙見到聽到他們的對答。

平常心吧,面試當日你便明白什麼是"人山人海",申請者這麼多,而學位只得80名...真的隋緣吧。


以我觀察,SJK boys 多是活潑醒目(除了my son),家長是十分緊張他們的學業,其中以大仔,有兄長就讀SJP,爸爸是old boy,天主教及居於灣仔為佳,當然亦有例外,不過應是罕見。

I've ever heard about that SJK students are well-trained.

但唔知大部分小朋友是否能承受這個"壓力"呢?

A. 其實唔係嚴厲,是"嚴格"!是有要求.My son 都很喜歡他的老師.老師們都很友善、有愛心。

B.是一星期兩次!!默中文及英文,累進式,一般生字啦,但100分好難得到。
沒有Test ,只有一年兩次的Exam,考番學過的科目。
唔知可唔可信,My son 講過上年考到1-5名同學的名字。

It seems that the parents of SJK students are not coming into this page often. There are quite a number of parents asking for help to understand the interview formats, but there are no responses.

If any SJK parent can help, pls respond.  Many thanks in advance!

I've gotten the application & interview has been scheduled in the afternoon of Mar 13.  Any idea how the interview is like?  Will both parents need to be there with the child?  Is it just the child is being interview or parent(s) too?  In Cantonese, English or PTH?, pls help.  Many thanks..

I think so as it is one of the questions listed on the application form.
